I have done a lot of soul searching in the last 3 days. My initial feeling was that I am done with Featherstone Rovers. Too embarassed. We do not deserve a club.

However, having given it some thought I will not let the idiots win. Real Featherstone fans now need to double our efforts to promote the club and root out the evil. We need to be ambasseders for our club. Talk is cheap let's have some action... are you with me Fax fans? I actually wish we were playing each other again next week.... I think several hundred fans from both clubs taking some sort of united stance and wearing t-shirts with a slogan on would send a real strong message. We could then pair up and sit/stand together in all parts of the ground.

Directors, stewards etc can do so much. It would be much more powerful if supporters could come together.

As a member of the Halifax Supporters Trust board do you have a similar group at Fev? Perhaps we could get together and do a joint statement, a show of solidarity that we can maybe get published in each local rag? I don't know what difference we'd initially make but a show of support for each other could go a long way? I'm happy to talk to anyone if they wish?

Next time , needs an anouncement from both clubs that no violent or aggressive behaviour will be tolerated , Fev need to make it clear to their stewards what is expected as regards identifying the troublemakers , a small but conspicuous police presence , and both clubs to do all they can to ensure a large following from Fax , the Fev support to go out of their way to show the few idiots that their time is up

That is a good idea Chris and one of the best ways of moving on from this is to learn a very important lesson from it and never let it happen at our club.
I think a few volunteers from the Trust doing a meet and greet type thing with any visiting fans starting with Batley would be a good idea .
Also anyone breaking the "respect rules " or showing agression toward anyone be they home supporters or away should be quickly thrown out.We must show the rest of the rugby league family it will not be tolerated at Fax.

Am I not allowed to be 50 too?? The 12 year old who came to the league game with me got abuse from adults(whilst buying a burger) and will never go there again...
Oh by the way I was also with my friends who were 65 and 60(perhaps they imagined the intimidation and abuse)...they won't be there again....Never done the schoolboy points scoring stuff and just go to the rugby to have some fun..
All I know is that your ground is the only one I've ever been punched at...or was I there that day..yes I seem to recall I was,and thats nearly 20 years ago..

It seems the consensus amongst travelling RL fans is to boycott Fev away games until something is done about the mindless scum that have attached themselves to Featherstone Rovers .

It appears that a Fev game against any team with an away following ( Fax , Leigh , Widnes ) attracts the idiot element that are there for one reason only , and it doesn't matter who wins , you just can feel the animosity building during the game and that you're going to have to run the gauntlet to get home .

No more of my money going into Fev's coffers after last time and if all fans do the same and hit them in the pocket then there's a small chance something may get done .

I'm looking forward to the NRC final and the fact that Fev aren't there has allowed the carnival atmosphere to start , and you can take your kids with out fear of getting a beating .

No-one is trying to destroy Fev. In fact, most of us really feel for the decent majority of Fev supporters but most of the sensible fans have now accepted that there is a serious problem at the club which requires resolving before it drives the club under.

You can hardly blame us for staying away when we fear for the safety of ourselves, our friends and family.

As to the forum being a joke, it is a forum where people go to express an opinion. If you can't handle an opinion with which you disagree then I suggest you stay away but if you continue to bury your head in the sand and pretend that there is no problem at Fev then it is you who will be "Destroying The Club" as sure as eggs is eggs!
