Know you're a fan of Wilkinson(or a relation!)but Brandon was equally as good as him yesterday.

For his first game back after such a long layoff, I thought he played very well

| I watched a different game if Heaton was poor. As has been said I thought Moore was very good and if we can have Evalds and get Obrien in for Bradford then we are looking pretty solid.

Is Obrien fit ? Heaton threw a pass miles behind him which was lucky it did not result in a try did not think he offered much

Other than that Im not sure he did anything wrong and created a try down that side. The big thing is his defence, our right side has been very poor all season with Murrell, Woodburn Hall, and Saltonstall conceding more trys by far than any other part of our defence. That happens less when Heaton is in the team.

| Just shows how we see different things. I put Heaton in my top three. Top defence and always got us going forward. Ok he is not the complete centre but name one in the Championship. Could perhaps free his winger more but i would have him in my selection every week. We still need to work on a better end to sets near opponents line as we just struggle to force back to back sets or make openings. Every team seems to pass sharper than we do. Too many passes up around shoulders not bringing the runner onto the ball. Generally a steady days work though. Tougher times ahead.

Sadly it starts with the hooker and as good as I think Ben Kaye is, he is not a patch on AOB and even in the couple of games he did play our half backs had so much more time on the ball because his passing is on the money.

| I thought Brandon threw a few decent long passes, ones that Kaye cant, and he also shot out from dummy half a bit quicker than Kaye does, Ben does keep things tight though, his game management is solid if not spectacular. If we can get AOB back in the mix I think RM will have nice problem.
As for Ben Heaton, he looked leaner, and for that I say well done to him, he's at a stage in his career where he could go backwards down the leagues if he doesn't keep improving, he came with big praise and potential from Rhino, if we are honest that potential hasn't been fulfilled, but he has had his moments, like Ben Kaye though, not spectacular.
I hope they can both sharpen up a bit because the younger lads will soon push them into Champsionship basement clubs or the league below if they cant.

And how many tries did he set up or have an involvement in on Sunday? By far the best part of his game is his defence, but many people don't seem to take this into consideration. You don't need to score too many when you're not conceding. I accept that others are faster in attack, but looking at the full game stats BK is always there about in the overall rankings. Remember that AOB was taken off against Rochdale as they were busting through him.

Depends what you like to watch mate. If you like boring score lines of 18 12 or a team what attacks and wins by scoreing a lot of points. I prefer attacking fast hookers who lead us down the field and create space for the half backs.

And I'd like to see Cameron Smith as our number 9!
But we've got a thing called a budget, and we've got who we've got.
I'm a realist, let's get behind the team we have and support every one of the 17 that pull on a Fax shirt every game.

I appreciate everybody is entitled to their opinion though I do wonder sometimes if a) people watch the same game as I do and b) have ever played rugby before?
Ben Heaton had his first game in ages - passed a ball on for Salty to make his break which lead to a try; gained valuable metres up field with his carries; made our right edge a lot stronger this week than against Swinton.
Every team needs it's Senior Pro's and in Ben Kaye you can see he is one of our leaders. Yes he may not be the fastest around the ruck but his defence is vital in that area. His enthusiasm is infectious and he would be a shoe in for me week in week out. Remember we are not awash with money to go out and buy SL/NRL centres and hookers!
Just saying.

Being brought up on unlimited tackle then four tackle i have to say i have seen many fantastic games ending 18 - 12. I fact quite a few with scorelines less than that. Before anyone says it , i know the game changes. I still support and have done through bad times(Cawoods) and good times (Huyton)! Oh and Wembbbley.
