EXCUSE ME !!!!! But Halifax RLFC are also a former fulltime SL club but with the added advantage of about 10 years experience at getting out of this division & failed every season. If you honestly believe that we will finish above Fev & Leigh you must be puddled. I know very well that London & Bradford will be in our division next season, that's why i included them in my evaluation. If you choose to disregard them, you're in for a very long 12 months in front of you.

No, you miss my point. We are talking about improving on this season's performance. I am saying if we finish next season ahead of Fev or Leigh it will be an improvement.

I don't ignore the fact that they are in our league and I will be at the games and I, as always will be there to watch a fax win (glass half full).

But the purpose of my response was to offer the bet, because I think we will improve, therefore my offer still stands and if we don't improve my £20 will go to Coeliac UK. If you think I'm puddled then where will your £20 go if we do?

Why do you think Fev will be so good next year? I am not so sure, yer it will be tough against the 3 fulltime clubs but Fev as far as I know are not going fulltime are they?

I for one believe that Fev will be better next year (as a team) than they have been this year, and will not be 15pts (13pts in old money 2-1-0) behind Leigh, so Fax will have to have a significant improvement to be above Fev/Fax next year. I'm not saying this is impossible, but I think it is vey unlikely. Also don't forget that Sheffield, Donny, Dewsbury, etc. will be aiming to improve on this year also.

Good luck with your recruitment, hope to see a strong Fax team next year along with the other current Championship teams. It would make my day to see both Bradford and London miss out on a top 4 finish next year, but again I can't see Bradford missing out and very much doubt London will miss out either.

Yes it does sound daft on paper but if next year was just another year with the old system I would totally agree with you but it isn't its going to be a league with something to play for and the club have to be more competitive on and off the field which I think they will be and to help that they need more income which if the team perform they will, the danger is the team are poor again but I think we will go well and hopefully get that 4th spot!

If you want a full time club who've got at least a chance of getting up into SL then you're going to have to pay for it.
