It's clear KH is avery strong character within our current set up and the BOD are happy for that to continue. What I have wondered is if we have two camps in the actual squad from his past Batley days and the current crop he has brought in? He does seem to keep picking his favourites that has my brow furrowed at times? At Leigh I seem to remember him dropping Fieldhouse and Worrincy-our two leading try scorers at the time- and the team having enough possesion and territory to win 3 games and then wondering why we couldn't score! Heaton on the wing this season to keep him in the three quarterline and of course the 'next Kevin Sinfield in Calum Casey' weekly sub bench selection. He needs some help in my opinion on backs play /game management and backs selection which I just don't think he is getting or more likely thinks he doesn't need?

Quote: faxcar "All the above has been said many times by the same people.

No doubt KH is responsible and accountable for not delivering the goods and the day of reckoning will come along, it always does.

In the meantime though it is good to remember he is not Halifax RL and for anyone to say I will stop supporting Fax because of one man is in my humble opinion showing lack of commitment to the club when things go wrong and is just as damaging in it's own way.

Likewise with the BOD, they hardly get a mention in a positive light and yet they have and continue to give their all to the club but it's never good enough.

Halifax RL is like having a white piece of paper with a black spot in the middle and that's all that can be seen or spoken about, none of the white around it.

Never mind anyone else, which bit are we a part of.

The bigger white area or the black spot?'"
A very good post. Karl has to improve or inevitably he will pay the price, MS stated his goal was a top two finish, but the bigger picture is Halifax RLFC and supporters should remember that.

I see Simon Brown scored twice for Batley today? So much for being back in contention.... Just wish the club would communicate properly. Just shows the clap trap spouted.

I'm sure everyone has the club at heart, we are all different and have different ways of expressing things and I can understand the disappointment and frustration, I know I feel it but I'm not going to get too down about it like I used to do, it's just not worth it and changes nothing anyway.

It could get worse before it gets better after todays results if we lose at Leigh on Wednesday and come away with nothing the gap will be 7 points on Fev and 4 on Doncaster.

The pressure is on now that's for sure and that certainly includes the man at the helm.

It was Alex Brown the winger back at Batley from Leigh who scored twice today, Simon Brown did not feature at all for them yet the club are not communicating and are spouting clap trap.

My apologies then.... On flash scores has Simon Brown down as scoring. Happy to hold my hands up when wrong. Thought here we go again regarding communication. Let's be honest it wouldn't have been unexpected if it was true the way communication has been recently.

Harrison needs a good assistant imo but when he had the chance to bring Long in he would have been fantastic for the backs he chose not to, maybe he would see him as a threat.

Just like to add my take on the Harrison situation, ive supported Fax since I was a lad in the fifties and seen the good and the bad over that time, but I can honestly say I have never felt like I could stay at home if my team are playing, this has changed over the last 3 years and even though I have my "concession" season ticket i am not motivated to watch because there is no excitement any more.
I feel all the individual play has been coached out of the players and it is so boring to watch. If we do not make a change soon we will miss out on the top 2 but most importantly supporters will be voting with their feet and finding other interests and from past experience it is difficult to get these fans back.come on BOD listen to the people to whom this club means so much and lets either have an assistant who can coach some attacking moves or have a complete change because we cannot afford the present situation to continue!!

Ditto to all of that plus, I'll tell you what, if the rumour proved to be correct and they gave KH a new 3 year contract it could finish the club once and for all. Seriously.

Where would Manchester Utd be now if they had sacked Alex Ferguson after the dismal early years of his reign?
Perhaps there is a bigger picture?
Think about it?
Karl said at the pre season presentation that it would be imposible to finish 2nd this year due to some clubs breaking the salary cap.
So perhaps our plan is for next year,
Loan our young players out this year to get first team experience and then they will be ready for next year.
2nd was never an option, what we need now is "FANS" to get behind the club.

I never thought I would find myself agreeing with anything about soccer, but last month in The Daily Mail :-

Sam Allardyce to STAY at West Ham as owners give manager £20m to spend... but boss is told to entertain - or else
Sam Allardyce will not be sacked by West Ham after meeting with board
Club statement demands 'more entertainment next season'
Hammers have given Allardyce £20m to spend on new players this summer
News comes despite 78 per cent of fans calling for Allardyce to be sacked
West Ham owners decided there were no viable alternatives
Allardyce told he must change playing style and promote youth
A new attacking coach will join West Ham's staff

I'm forever blowing bubbles..........................
