The players are valuable commodities... wouldnt like them being left alone on some of the streets round Halifax!

I like your thinking but when would you have them do this? Most of the players have jobs outside of rugby so probably wouldn't have time for this unless it meant missing training sessions which isn't a good idea. Could possibly send the players from the community department. |

It wouldn't need the entire squad. Just a couple of players and send some fliers round the streets the day before.
Also, the summer holidays are coming up. The kids will be off school. |

Could also e-mail local schools and get them to tell the kids when it is, doesn't cost anything. |

What about a Sports parade in Halifax where ALL Sports clubs in Calderdale are invited to join. Fax could sponsor it alongside the Courier, Halifax, Calderdale Council. Could march through the town and end at the Shay. Each U16s/Youth that joins in is giving a free ticket to the next home game as a reward for joining in the parade. Would not cost too much and would get Fax amongst others involved more in the community. Also a Photo session could be done where youngsters can get their photo with any of the Fax players and a stall selling Fax merchandise and AFC Town, Courier, Calderdale Council could have stalls alongside face painting and bouncy castle etc.
