Wally only played one game against Halifax and that was at Thrum Hall on 12/02/84 in the Challenge Cup. He scored two tries that day on the last of his ten games for Wakefield in a 19 - 7 win .

Yes he certainly showed his class that. Seem to remember more raw power than finesse for at least one of his tries, but the memory does fade as one gets older.

That's good news as I feel the Beeb are missing a trick here, there are a number of very interesting ties.

Wakefield have confirmed the cup tie will take place on Friday 17th April with a KO @ 7:30

going to be a mad dash from work to make it, why oh why would it not be 8pm!!

Looking at their fixtures, they play at home to Wigan on Thursday 23rd so I'm guessing they wanted the extra days but it will significantly impact on the crowd!

So what...we should have refused.Rugby should be played on a sunday.

Rules me out due to work, though the whole weekend was a no go anyway, will have to wait until next round, home draw when the pitch has improved.

I would have preferred Sunday as well,i see our game at F"stone has been changed to Saturday the 6th JUNE k/o 6pm
