no idea how that works down there, but as well as taking the situation to the RFL we also took it up with the RFU who confirmed in writing that it was indeed their position with rugby league clubs and general response to our plight was tough their loyalties lie with their member clubs.................they very much support their own just like rugby league should do..................and not take games to rugby union grounds and spend money over their bar !

To be honest I think that the Old Crocs viewed King Cross as a possible way of getting players without having to put in the effort of running theirown junior set up in the hope that when they reached 18 they would become their colts side

The lads played very well in patches and put some good moves together. Just need to tighten up in defence a bit more and I'm sure that will come as the games come along.
Whitehaven looked like they were more used to playing together and looked to have a sprinkling of over 23's in there as well. They deserved the win but the Fax lads looked to have plenty of promise in them.
Nice showing for their first competetive game together.

Rules only permit 2 Over Age players this year, down from 6 last season. As you say, most of these lads played last year, and some were even forced into first team action during the Stokes debacle
