| The officials were poor today for both sides. Halifax were the better team though, you can't argue with that. The line breaks and chances that we had were way above anything Keighley put together. Most of the ground Keighley made was due to Halifax errors or penalties. However in the second half you took the chances you had. I would not have complained had Keighley got a bonus point as they battled hard all game and Halifax were too laid back at times. However Halifax were dominant enough to have put the game away by a big score at times. Just lacked finishes from some of the breaks.
I thought you could sum up the officials with one incident. Late in the second half Said was tackled. As he was getting up Bob Beswick clearly picked up his leg and pulled him until he fell to the floor. To which Halifax got a penalty. That made me chuckle, not sure what the officials were doing then, especially as the touch judge was looking right at it.

Every club has some deluded fans though don't they?
I think the general consensus is that Mr Turley had a shocker today.
Whether it would have affected the result one way or the other is open to debate.

James Haley looked to have got the ball down in the corner before he went out but linesman ruled he was in touch.

You did that by whinging in your first post with an unbelievable statement. Were you sunbathing on the cricket pitch in the second half?

| It was a good game once again between the two teams.
It was a good job Keighley made some many mistakes. This at least kept you lot in the game.
To try and blame the ref really is

If you think your mistake kept us in the game than its you thats crazy - everything you had was on the back of Turley and his amazing reffing skills.

| I think it's a given that Fax fans will agree with one version of events, us Cougars with another. Anyone who thinks that their team is always perfect, and the other team always the villains, is deluding themselves. Yes, the ref was rubbish, he was both anti and pro both teams at various points; Fax won, but we pushed you pretty hard for most of the game, and to suggest that anything we got was down to a bad ref belittles Keighley, and makes you look like a cock. I think most fax fans would agree...

Maybe you are right - our errors gave you the points in the first half and then the ref gave you everything in the 2nd.

Yes Keighley pushed us very hard and did well to get back into the game. However you can't be really suggesting that Keighley posed Halifax a real threat from deep in their own half? Apart from one really good 40/20 kick from Jones and one line break that was stopped Keighley never actually got near our line unless Haalifax dropped the ball or received a penalty. Some of those penalties were justified and some not, but it wasn't all down to Keighley tearing Halifax apart. On the other hand Halifax tore through Keighley at times like butter and could have easily but 60 past you the way they were going at times. On top of that we had 3 tries scratched off and you only had one.
So I don't believe the teams were equally matched at all. Keighley took their chances well and for that deserved to be in the game with only a few minutes to go as Halifax squandered several opportunities, but you couldn't defend your own line at the end and we took advantage of you. That's your players fault because they let the bonus point slip not us.

So posting something that you just happen to disagree with is being delusional?
Funny how quite a few of your own fans are share a similar opinion.
The ref was poor, but he was poor for both sides.
Remember, we had 2 tries disallowed ourselves in the second half one of which was a real shocker.

| i did not make it to the match this afternoon, but i am happy we managed to get the full points despite peoples comments on the ref and how well keighley played and in my opinion, keighley were never going to be an easy team to face proven earlier in the season, its quite clear that referees/touch judges are shockin in this league....but surely the fact we went out and got the 3 points is a job well done, the team did well.
Well played FAX...

This is a pretty decent assessment to be fair.
Which is why I was so proud of our players for the way we played.
We don't have star players, we can't afford them. We had our 2 best props out injured.
When Fax started the second half the way they did I thought they were going to steamroller us like Fev did but we hung on, made some huge defensive stands and then began to take the game to you. We reduced a 20 point deficit to 2.
We're all gutted, we've missed a chance to get one over on our rivals who have a far better team. But at the same time we're proud, really proud.
