| We need to start well. If we're to make an impact then we probably need to win this first game against Toronto. If we can back that up with a win in France, then making the MPG starts looking like a possibility. Lose both of them and we then have SL opposition to face and losing 7 from 7 becomes more likely.
We have more strength in depth now, but we need to learn how to play without Muzza being able to influence everything (every team will target him). Last game is against London, and if we can somehow win those first two games, then we'll still have it in our own hands to play in the MPG by winning that game even if we lose to all 4 SL teams.
Btw, Sky have obviously already dismissed us as cannon fodder with no games planned for us on TV yet.

| Forget about Sky, they pretty much did the same last year until eventually deciding to put us on against Warrington. Also I don’t think the Championship teams get any money from Sky so better off without them if that is still the case.

Moss can't play against Hull KR and I'm assuming Fleming can't still be allowed to play against Toronto.

Kieren Moss ……….
www.hullkr.co.uk/moss-joins-halifax-on-loan/
"Moss has joined Halifax for the rest of the season but will not be allowed to play against Rovers should the two clubs meet in the Super 8’s Qualifiers."
Regarding Fleming, he was definitely not allowed to play against Toronto home and away in the regular season - this is included in the Toronto away (played in London) preview - "Halifax will be without former Toronto duo Quentin Laulu-Togaga’e and Dan Fleming for the trip to the capital as part of their agreements to join Fax from the Wolfpack." I'm not sure if this carries forward to the Qualifiers.

| I might be wrong but can someone help me understand this. On Thursday Toronto announced they have just signed Mason Caton-Brown until the end of the season and for the qualifiers. How can this be done when the dead line for new signings was Friday 27 July Have I Missed something or am I just being thick

Apparently the deal was done last week .............
https://www.torontowolfpack.com/2018/08 ... oins-pack/
...... so why it's taken a week to be announced is a mystery. However, the cynics may argue that it's because Toronto are subject to different rules, but the RL don't want to see they're giving Toronto special treatment so they pretended it was done a week earlier.

| And on the same theme I noticed yesterday that Salford have signed a player from Hull FC and he can also play in the middle eights!

| All very suspicious. I'd think it very odd if Fax announced a signing today but claimed it was closed before the deadline.

| I truly think (hope) that Toronto could be there for the taking if all the stars align. We absolutely have to guard against what happened last time where they set out to and successfully managed to blow us out in the first 15 mins. Weather that storm and just maybe we can do it. The intensity at London should help us in that regard perhaps?
I still have the dilemna regarding TW going up (buggering off) or falling flat on their face. Either way we will still have a relatively strong side in their place if they succeed? Makes my skin crawl reading that idiot Kayakman's comments (TO HIMSELF!!) on their forum so losing him may make it worthwhile at least.
I can't make this game due to a family holiday - will their media team be showing it on TV does anybody know?
Good luck Fax.
