Just wondered if there was any chance of Nick Rawsthorne on a loan season. I don't think he is at Hull standard yet but If ever we missed signing someone it was him. Pace , size, good feet and a kicker.

Wasn't keen on him being retained last season but did better and slightly surprised he was released.Boyle,Calahane,Mammone,Nelmes and Reilly all leaving with just one coming in.Big ask for Calcott,other reserves and Cas lads to fill the breach if our recruitment has ended. |

It certainly is. Obviously Calahane is a massive loss and Boyle was a pretty regular first teamer so thats 2 out there. Thats some size gone right there and I know RM does not like big angry props but we did get bullied on occasion last season so some size would not go amiss. |

Just to put you right on half backs, Leigh have only got one in the squad announced so far - Ben Reynolds. True, Dan Mortimer has also resigned, but I think he's being seen as a hooker - the position he was playing in the NRL. Oh, and he's the only experienced hooker we have signed so far, as well!  |

I know - but I bet it doesn't stop your guys giving us 2/3 really tough games, as usual. It looks like we are assembling a totally new squad, with all/most of the Leigh born players being shown the door. I hope our coach can get this lot to gel, however good they are supposed to be. One thing about local lads, like Higson, Hopkins, Higham and Ridyard is that playing for their home town means something to them. |

Ridyard has an offer on the table, from Leigh. It sounds like it involves a wage cut - maybe not unreasonable, as we are back in the Championship! Another consideration for Martyn is that he is due a testimonial in 2018.
