a few coaches thought he was bad last year and said put kicks towards him... was better than before as showed in the final.

sheff put up kick after kick against him at the shay at the end of the season and he was solid. picking one out of the air in the second half to go the length of the pitch waving away the chase. just look at the progression he's made in a year, imagine what potential he has with full time training!? hopefully can do another 25+ try season for us but i wouldnt be surprised seeing him do a job in super league in the very near future. you cant blame his work rate, as strong as most forwards running in back and then quick plays of the balls winning pens or even more meters. he was one of the best players in the final, especially in the first half, dont think he got as much credit as he deserved!

Like I posted earlier Rob was miles off the pace today, I mean he should and would of last season been on the shoulder of Sam Barlow when he broke, if there is something on the cards for Rob I hope it is sorted very soon.

The fact that he had to make up 30 yaards becuase he had dropped back for the kick probably had something to do with it.

I am with you there GFB, and if Barlow had looked around he HAD made up the yards and was available for a pass, which he would have taken under the sticks.

Fair play to Barlow for making it so far and the subsequent play got the try, but it was out on the sideline.

There was no question of Rob being "off the pace" and this on soft ground as well.

Yeah always makes me laugh when i hear the run forward shout. Its usually people who have never played the game and dont have a good understanding of what fanatastic work he is doing.

Love him or hate him just think for a moment what our opposition think. To a man they're always glad when he doesn't play. Would we like him lining up against us - No.
Therefore he is quality and we'd be a poorer team without him.
Unfortunately I think that will be the case in the next few days, although I hope MC & MH sort out a deal where if he is wallowing in the Coronation Street 2nd team we can have first dibbs on the dual reg.
I am only glad that Salford are SL and we'll only come across him in the cup.

Gonna be up to Rob at the end of the day, but if he wallows in the reserves at a SL club and finds that it doesnt work out as he thinks, then he has to consider that other clubs may already have filled places in his absence, he could end up with smashed confidence and promising career with Fax gone... and it will be back down to resurrect his career with a lesser champ or champ 1 team... Ah the young are always in such a rush...
He needs another year to consolidate his progress and iron out a few more weaknesses, he wont get that opportunity at SL level because at the moment he will cost more matches than he wins.

I'd gameble against him leaving Fax, and you are quite right about opposition! He's a huge handful with the ball in hand, but a little suspect in defence at time! Whenever he gets the ball you will here this ginger soul yelling 'don't let that bug_ger run' cos he can punish you!

He'll stay at fax!

IMO i think that with his brother going over to NRL and he still being in the Championship he probably feels as though he is worth more. ( I don't just mean financial ) He is probably right too, Full time training at the right club and he would be SL easy. I hope he can sort his head out and make a decision sooner rather than later, We have seen it before with different players, when the hearts not in it, might as well stay at home.

Regardless of what happens, With Halls ability to spot and sign talent I think replacements could be found and worked with to progress the skills needed to be another " Warrior ".
