I dont think what KH said last year has any bearing now. But his current thinking for next year is Handforth at 9. I know there are people close to KH trying to change his mind. Lets hope they do.

I have heard persistent rumours that Penky is on his way out after this season and I was gutted when heard and it simply won't go away. The silence on a new contract for him when everyone else appears sorted seems to support this but it could be a big smokescreen. I've also been told we have a signed an "exciting" half back for next year which again would support playing Handforth at 9??

Its that time of season again so it could all be complete garbage and Penky's contract could be sat signed and sealed in the safe at The Shay and I for one hope it is as I think Penky is a different class and would be devastated to see him playing against us.

I am a big penky fan, but lets face it, if he moves on, we have had the very best of him; as you get older, you may just want that fresh challenge, or that little bit extra in the bank before you look at retirement from the professional game.

if he goes, good luck to him, he doesn't owe us anything, without him we wouldn't have been half the team we have been in recent years.

Penky has, and always will be in my eyes and absolute Fax legend. This will remain if he stays or goes due to the service and quality he has provided over the last ** years.

Loyalty is rare in sport these days, but as typified by your Penky / Barlow etc of this world, we are extremely lucky at Fax over the last few years.

I personally believe Penky will stay, but again, my view would not waiver in the slightest if he were to seek pastures new. Just hope he doesn't end up in the same league as us!!

like the above posters I have enjoyed watching Penky play , I wouldnt want him to go but if he should decide to do so I certainly wouldnt bemoan the fact but thank him for all his brilliant efforts over the years .
Having had to endure the insecent moans from the Batley fans around us of Lazarus Handforth etc etc berating all and sundry; to be quite frank the result was probably not what their team deserved but definitely what some supporters deserved if only to shut them right up!(very well timed that try Ambler!)
As KH said what is their problem, support your team but dont slag everyone off just because people made a choice in life not to coach or play for you. Its their life and their choice.

Ditto the above comments about Penky and what he has meant to this club.
My tip/info is "IF" he leaves it will be to Leigh, which won't exactly be a massive surprise.
Put yourself in his shoes.
Does he finnish his playing days with Fax where he has enjoyed all of his success and is a fans favourite.
Or.
Does he play for his home town club who are still a top side side for a couple of years while he still has something to offer.
Last chance for this if he wants it.

If I had to speculate I also think it will be very likely that any news on signings especially new ones will be left until the season is over but by sticking my neck out could easily have it chopped off

The offer was a couple of weeks ago but think Penky has agreed his move already.
