Surprised no one as mentioned we played a centre who can pass. Salty for me is probably one the best wingers in the league but he needs to get the ball. Pace and stronger than he looks. Heaton tends to go him self and hardl ever draws in the defenders and gets the ball out.

Yes it was good to see JWH shifting the ball regularly,not sure about the quality though,Salty did really well to catch and stay in play on occasions.Longer they're paired though the better the understanding will become.

I think people need to get out of their mind that Murrell is a 13. Back in the 70s and 80s maybe but the game has changed now with the 10 yard rule. 13s are essentially another strong running second rower. Murrell is a good organizer, tactical kicker and reads the game as well as anyone in this division. He is a 6, albeit not the fastest, but neither was Finn at Fev. What a difference it makes though when our forwards are more dominant and we get quick ptb’s from dummy half to give the half backs space to work.

I agree, most of the 13's from 70's & 80's would struggle, Pendlebury, Norton, Pinner, not big blokes like today's players but had the skills to pick a defence with the 5 metre rule. The whole game changed with the 10m rule, bigger, faster and stronger players who run straight lines so the TV cameras don't have to move, the old players were like magicians and cameras couldn't keep up.

TBH your right. I know Murrell is a great leader but as someone said is he a bit Rooney-ish now in his input.

try lad from reserves against hunslet and see if we have a fourth option.

I think it showed that Jonno needs to have some serious coaching in the kicking department. He's pretty good with the deft kicks through the line, but he needs to have more options than that, and we scored from one of Moore's spiralling bombs today.
