You don't think we need any forwards after last season?

Very defensive guys aren't we. Sure we need replacement forwards but forgive me if I contain my excitement until we sign a defense-splitting playmaker.

Assuming Robinson,Murrell,Moore and Johnson are all on contract and don't leave i can't see there being any budget for anyone else im afraid.

Then we need to get the configuration right 6,7,9 and 13 try get some continuity IMO and that needs to include Johnno as a regular starter.

Problem is Marshall an ex forward hasn't a clue and the call for assistance from a former halfback is a good one IMO.

Im not sure that type of player is available as they seem to be in very short supply throughout the game and if talk of Sammut/Craven wanting over 50K then you have to wonder where the money would come from especially given both those players are probably only slightly above average Championship players. I cant see it even been a case of a "marquee" player putting bums on seats because who at this level would do that? Our options are either players who are dropping down from SL or trying to find hidden gems from SL teams reserves.

Or an up and coming Aussie....Ryan/Hagan?

Even more problems. If you do manage to get around visa problems and thats a big if you then have to sort out accommodation etc which can mean you paying out more money for a worse player than you coud have got at a cheaper price over here.

That's very true and if we don't ever try we'll never unearth a new Hagan or Ryan or Bella, so sometimes it's nice to have a go. Or not bother and tread water or sink.

Wouldn't put me off the weekend if we were playing St Winifred's Girl Choir, seven games over two days for the price of one home game. A feast of Rugby League interspersed with copious liquid refreshment, meeting old friends and foe and remembering nowt on Monday.

And quite right too, not making the top four was disappointing enough, spending what we don't have would be even worse. (I done before)

Aaargh what a cr%p game for us, there is not much to draw the crowds apart from Hull KR against Bradford over the whole weekend as no offence the Swinton v Oldham and Heavy Wollen derbies aint huge crowd pullers!
