Don't worry, we all know that the council issue has nothing to do with an ability to catch and hold on to a rugby ball, and that is a major reason behind this seasons failure, ball retention and completing sets.

You're right to a certain degree but we don't want a return to the 5 and kick crap.We need more structure in attack and better decision making.

Just because we are fans of the club and have a season ticket or pay on the gate does not give us a devine right to know about the business side/costs/investment/ wages ect. If you want to know all this take your hard earned money and put hundred of thousands into our club. Then you can ask for the fine detail of the workings of the club.
If we don't make the top 4 it will be dissapointing. But this is sport. It happens. You could be an Eagles supporter. Having a little bit more money does not mean you can buy 18 world class players. Everyone at our club gives 100% to keep us running and the players and coaching staff to provide a winning team. Give them a break. Yes I'm upset we lost but moaning doesn't help and will neve change the result. Although I wouldn't keep sharp for next season or saltenstall. I think he made more meters running across the pitch than he did forward. Up the Fax!!

Norman I always read your views on the game and respect your opinion, as it is always straight and unbiased, Fax's last 2 game have been very poor in terms of Fax's performance,yesterday an ordinary Fev team beat you,though for most the last try wasn't a try, it was from a bounced ball.However the teams performances this year have been below par,I've never been impressed with the 3 Moores, your forwards have been OK ,I think you miss Manning, as well as Ben Kaye,but opposing Coaches have wised up to RM'S tactics ,as I predicted they would, my 7th spot prediction hasn't been far out either and it was a mistake not going full time,to late next year as your RL Funding will be much less next year.
Where you go from here ?I'm not sure but you must act quickly as your crowds are dropping ,only 2,305 yesterday and I reckon 400 -500 from Fev,I was in the North Stand they were very vocal, but very good natured, I would however keep RM as he IS a good Coach,I think your halves are not very effective, Murrell has not much to offer and G.Moore so predictable, I sincerely hope you can attract some new faces who bring a bit of Class to the team but again with Torontos, introduction the players pool gets smaller.Good Luck for next season.

Ive said before, we only have about 5 players who would be willing to go full time in our squad, where do the other 20-25 players come from to go full time? Where does the extra money come from to sign the sort of quality of players that would be needed to make the top 4. Sheffield tried it and were simply left paying over the odds for players who are simply not good enough to be full time rugby league players. Look at Bradford this season, left trying to sign the dregs of the full time players and end up worse than last season as their money streams steadily drop.

We didn't spend enough of it on the first team and this is ultimately where our season has failed.

There lies the conundrum though, none of the teams mentioned have even the slightest hope in hell of getting promoted. The question has to be other than some daft idiot burning money how do any teams in this league compete with firstly Leigh and then even more so with the teams in SL.

They won't. But the extra cash can allow your team to be run better and be stronger as a result of better infrastructure and less borrowing of cash. Which is what I thought we were doing...

...and if we thought that we'd have a team coming through in a couple of years or so that would spank the Championship, slide through the middle 8's without needing the MPG, spend a couple of seasons consolidating in SL, followed by a triumphant trip to Old Trafford then we would be very happy.

Fantasy land I know, but every club with ambition needs to have a target, and more importantly, a plan for how they're going to get there. The plan may fail, and they may need to rethink, but there needs to be the plan and final target/ambition in place to start with.

Fax don't seem to have a vision of the future never mind a plan to get there.

I don't really think you would know how much Sheffield Eagles have paid out for the players.You may be aware that the investor stopped investing either before the season started,or shortly afterwards.The number 7 shirt has never been filled after the RFL prevented Beau Henry from joining.
The 2 loan players only arrived after the club captain wanted his contract to be ended.
The players you deem simply not good enough recently defeated Featherstone,ahem,and pushed a team costing considerably more,right to the death.
