The one that was mentioned three weeks ago was a Twitter wind up by a fellow player.
A N Other has a year left of his contract and a good job.
In my humble opinion.
Yes the officials were inconsistent. But 25+ penalties is also a reflection of two teams trying to stop each other from playing rather than being creative. Two teams with little ambition or ability.
Whilst I hope the players get a boost from the win, it really makes me wonder why I am bothering to watch games, the vast bulk of which simply aren't enjoyable. No wonder crowds are down across the leagues. My wife had much more enjoyment at bingo.
Poor officials which contributed to ruining the game and then they wonder why they get criticised and why people stop going.
Fax started with a higher intensity in the tackle but there was a lot of unforced errors early on which didn't help with getting any momentum going and build some pressure.
I though we were pretty dominant in the forwards and won the collision in defence and attack, Oldham are no mugs but without the penalties the only way they could get out of their half for large parts of the game was by kicking on the last, I don't think they broke the line once in open running play.
Dane, Adam, Luke and Jacob had strong games and a couple more tries for Matty Sarsfield in only his second run out so some positives from the packs response to last weeks working over at Batley.
Likewise with Sharp, he looks like he is getting some confidence back and showed up pretty well.
Well we just scared a win this week but the other teams around us have sent out pretty strong messages that this league is kicking off, MASSIVE game next week.
