Chinese whispers are great arnt they? On another site it was our kitman offering to buy the ref a pint.
Hopefully we are turning the corner now. Once again we failed to put a game to bed despite making so many line breaks but once again picking the wrong ball or making an error. On the plus side Fev did not make a clean break outside our own twenty so as long as we kept them at their end they were not going to trouble us too much. We didnt do that and again gave away some silly penalties but as RM said we probably deserved the win overall as we were slightly the better team.
I thought the ref showed a lot of guts giving the penalty did because the video will show Fev could have been penalised on every single tackle of that set.
Special mention on Tangata who was the best forward on the pitch by some distance. Hopefully we can kick on from here and despite not been near the heights we hit last season we just picked up a vital win against a team that will not lose many games at home.
