I think we'll finish in top four BUT I hope we have a financial plan for if we don't. £787k to £150k is a hell of a drop. Wish we could have just kept going and not have an off season because we were on fire those last three months. If we can start well then I think we will be competing for fourth/third.

Behind Fev and Leigh

I think Leigh will be there at the top obviously, with Bradford. Not sure about Fev. Lost all their players. Signed a good one. Signed a cast off. Poor coach. I think they'll struggle.

Sheffield will start slow as usual. London? Who knows? May surprise a few this year.

The odds are pointless once you take Bradford and leigh out of the equation. The only real value there is on Bradford and with Lowes having another off season to inflict his coaching on the players they have it seems unlikely they will beat Leigh to top spot. The rest have been plucked out of thin air, you only have to look at Batley tipped to finish bottom to see that. For me they have recruited pretty well this year, certainly a lot better than last year, and I think they can get in the cluster that will be London, Sheffield, Dewsbury and Fev fighting for 4th place. Obviously on Fax from that I think we will finish 3rd and I think we will be closer to the top 2 than most think. The players now know the levels expected of them and now believe they are capable of hitting those levels, it took 4 months of the season for that to happen and I dont think it will take the same next season. We have a really settled squad and will benefit from the fact that Fev and Sheffield are putting together new teams.

I reckon London will improve but still wont be anywhere near good enough to make the top 3. Sheffield we just dont know and so far their signings have been less than inspiring. Fev will also have a new look team and although they will have two decent half backs this year they will be playing behind a pretty poor pack again and will have to contend with the handicap that is Jon Sharps coaching. They will have a new coach by the end of the season. Dewsbury have lost a few players as well and Im not sure they have recruited that well and I think they could struggle this year. As I said before I think the big improvers could be Batley and they could shock a few by finishing above Fev and Dewsbury.

If Fax are reliant on what they have plus their signings so far they will struggle to make the top 4. It's still only October and We have recruited well so far and so have Dewsbury.

Last season Fax took advantage of a poor league and poor end of season form of Leigh who not only Fax beat in the middle eights. Next season will be different and you'll be back down to your usual 5th or 6th

What planet is FevFan on??? We can only go on the current facts. Currently you've cleared out your quality players. Currently you haven't signed enough quality replacements. Currently you're scheduled to receive £300k less than you did last year.

What other conclusions than the ones on here are we supposed to come up with?

Have I missed who Dewsbury have signed? Im not classing Sykes or Reynolds as improvements to their team and the others seem to be run of the mill, who have I missed?

No objection to Fev's odds - they always have been, and always will be, a threat. However, Fax's odds are ridiculous.

40-1 seem very good odds to me.

As a Leyther, I will be having some of that.

Fax played some great stuff towards the end of the season, and changed their style by offloading in the tackle at every opportunity. A strong candidate for 3rd in my opinion, hence I will have a dollop on them E/W.

At this point you can just about announce who you like after all Gaz Moore is probably still a contracted Fev player for a few more days. If you are going to accuse someone of looking dim is probably best not to make a post that makes your self look even more so. Shall I tell you why Fev are not announcing any players and it is the same reason that Sheffield are not announcing a load of players................... If quality was that readily available Fev would not be raiding the piggy bank to try and get teams to part with their players, anyway how did that work out when when Campbell tried to get Batley to part with Rowe with a wad of cash?

Unless that is Im wrong and you really do know who is coming in but then again its a Fax forum and you could name names without anyone from Fev noticing but you dont know any names do you?

Ps. BTW who do you think your new coach will be once you get rid of Sharp mid season?
