I'm not surprised that Andy left the club, the home form this season has been poor. Poor performances over the course of the last season has seen the standard drop considerably.
Andy seemed a nice guy and took on a huge challenge under difficult circumstances.

| A lot has gone on at Featherstone, from very solid foundations they have managed to destabalise themselves. Have to think Mark Campbell has played a big part in that by a string of poor judgement calls. He's done a great job upto a point and probably will again but it seems the minute he aimed really high is the moment the cracks appeared.

| Fev had years of stability under Powell who is showing what a really top coach he is at Cas, they are big boots he left to be filled and as yet they haven't been. Perhaps the problem at Fev is that they didn't realise how important the coach is and how he can make or break players, something I think we at Fax are now seeing with RM at the helm.

I agree with you and Foxy Dread. The coach is crucial to how the players perform and Campbell is a "one man band" especially after the Fake Sheik left him in the lurch.
Good job we have RM to look after things on the field. The board will always be there to have a pop at but IMO they are trying to build for the future and not rush into a quick fix disaster.

| Very true, the BoD are giving us a stable platform to help build a team on the pitch.

| Difficult to make sensible comment from the outside but one wonders how the departure of Feisal's wedge has affected recruitment.
Expectations still seem high.

Feisal never had any wedge, even the Roller was allegedly hired for the odd day at a time.
He never paid in full for his shares and the 60 grand cheque him and his mate Craig made much fanfare of handing to the stand volunteers went bouncing all the way into Purston Park Lake.
Andy Hay is a decent bloke, but I think he stepped up to head coach too soon, I also question if his personality is the right one for a head coach.
The debt that Feisal and Poskitt left certainly had an effect, it prevented us from going full time. Mark had to use some of the RFL/Sky money to stabilise the club.
We were unlucky to lose our first choice halfback before the season due to family problems at home, but Hay's performance has been less than sparkling, especially at home where we have been dire. We've lost a good 1000 off the crowd due to seriously inept performances against teams we should be beating with the squad available to us

I recall no-one being interested in the debt while it was being created. It was all about Destination $uperleague 2015.

| Craig Poskitt has done an absolutely brilliant job since joining Halifax.
He's taken control of the commercial side of the business and made great strides!
Some people were skeptical of his appointment but he's certainly proven them wrong. Keep it up Craig. Makes it even sweeter that Featherstone fans hate him!

Exactly. It's all very well some people calling Hay's departure "panicking", but Fax persisted with Harrison's brand of rugby for three years or whatever and the fans slowly slipped away, and it's a lot harder getting them back - Fax are clearly a much better team this year but the crowds are still pitiful for a team going well and presumably they will take a while to filter back. Fev have had some decent results this season, mostly away from home, but there have been too many games where we've looked a poorly-coached team, especially in defence, to justify persisting with Hay. It's not our actual position - I thought we'd be in that 3rd-6th bracket, which is where we are - but the manner of a number of our defeats that has been disappointing. The overwhelming feeling this season watching Fev has been that the whole has been less than the sum of the parts, and in such instances the coach is always going to struggle to keep his job.

| You've proved you can beat the top teams but for some reason have been soundly beaten at home on a number of occasions, very peculiar to be honest.

Regardless of how well we play I feel most non-season ticket holders will still have to pick and choose which games they attend give the price of entry which is simply too high, particularly when taking a family.
Sounds utopian but we really do need better corporate support fostered and nurtured for mutual benefit - then we can lower entry prices or offer more deals to entice people back through the gates.
Ideally a strong benefactor? Then again we do not want a Cellino or Koukash-type calling the shots do we?

| He spoke well at the forums and Ian Croad was certainly happy with his achievements at that point. We seem to have a record number of sponsors. It would be interesting to see if he was able to nail the grants he was optimistic of getting at the time.
