Whilst I sympathise with clubs who are struggling financially I don't like sports clubs not paying their tax bills as whilst I am no fan of the taxman its money that we all have to pay without any choice I pay through my wages and have done since I was 16.
So bottom line is they are just doing their job and Fev should have paid them before now end of story, sounds like you are getting it sorted so good but its money Fev have used to pay for players and stuff which meant they beat us to 2nd and got that £200K.

Probably came as a surprise that they had to pay it.

Not necessarily as they may not have been paying taxes from wages to HMRC, so not all tax from income. But who knows.

That's why I don't have a lot of sympathy for folk who don't pay their PAYE. It's money they've deducted from their employees (well, most of it is).
