Yeh he was so good they kept him in hospital overnight and he missed the next Leigh game.
Leeds are trying to buy out his contract for next season but their first offer of £200k has been rejected.

Off thread £200k contract buy out-Leigh must have some major money ploughed into the 'Nearly Invincibles' side now. Amazing turn around in such a short space of time!

Reminds me of myself - I keep on saying to the wife, if I turn up early with my shirt on, Karl might one day see me on the terraces and think, Big Rob over there might be able to do a job for us this week... I'm 40 next year and slowly coming to the conclusion that I won't be playing at Championship level.
Respect for Sam, he's not giving up the dream... |

FYI there was some Twitter scandal involving an alleged Leigh player on a weekend abroad about a month-6 weeks ago that suggests there may well be some weight in this doing the rounds.
I sometimes wonder why i bother coming on here, he more than likely said it if he got sent off, then got charged, accept it.
Next you'll be telling us Rob can catch high balls if he really wants to.

Very true John , it was blown up out of all preportions ,nothing was seen of the incident , I think only the players must have heard it , these remarks have been going on for years , I know it doesn't make it right , but name calling is NOT a sending off offence , unless its Racial , having said that where do you draw the line ?Charlie doesn't know .

But we do have different rules, call a fellow player a big fat b'stard and no case to answer, call him a big fat white b'stard no case to answer.
Call an Indian cricket captain a ******* Fat **** and he goes running to the ICC. No racial or homophobic content, so where do you draw the line. |

"nothing was seen of it" ahahaha but you don't know that, because, as in the Zak Hardaket incident, i can assure you that this was seen and heard, by lip synch experts, so don't you be too sure of that !
"name calling is NOT a sending off offence" are you being serious ? If specific language is used in a public place it's not only a sending off offence but it can also be a criminal offence - FACT ! Foul & abusive language is the terminology, i'd say homophobic is certainly abusive, disagree with that if you wish, but it certainly appears to be a sending off offence, if he was actually sent off in the 72nd ( or whatever ) minute of the game, so i guess, more than "only the players heard it" somehow....
