We looked a class above the Lions today who, to their credit, stuck at it and I can see why they ran Donny close last week. Keighley did us a massive favour today.

Yep. However, Fev have to come to The Shay. If we do go undefeated than we'll move above them as we'll have won that game. If we lose to Fev then it's irrelevant how they get on against Leigh as we'll be behind them.

Scored some great tries today with some really good attacking play and we looked good most of the game BUT why oh why do we let teams come back with late scores in the last 10 minutes?

Not necessarily, if Fev win all their games up to playing us and they get a bonus point at the shay we will be on the same points, but Fevs superior goal difference will keep them in 2nd.

As for Murrell and Riddy , they are 2 totally different players even though both play at 6 ,Riddy links the backs and forwards with his passing , and does the tactical kicking ,as well as goal kicking , where Murrell is more of a runner who attacks the line , BOTH valuable to their teams in different ways ,a bit like Halifaxjohn and myself .

Prior to coming to Leigh Ridyard played for Leigh Miners, as regards Super League he had no offers to go there.

Wiki describes him as an highly decorated player at amateur level.
