Decent crowd (1600 plus), but the game hardly got out of 1st gear. Our line is so flat that the players are receiving the ball almost standing still.
Ryan was the best Fax player for me. Scored a try, some good last man tackles, and brilliant positioning for the kicks coming through.'"
I totally agree with you. I thought our players were flat, lacking any real enthusiasm and I found the game boring. Even when we had clear chances we made poor decisions.
Even in victory I think the ref was extremely poor making some very strange decisions.

The announced crowd was all those that were missing unless the person responsible had double vision. Actual crowd was like the performance she'ite. Next week will be just as bad (attendance wise). Think we're due to throw a pass so excitement levels will increase

x 2 For most of the game it was NWC without the rain, finally woke up a bit in the last 20 mins.
The ref was genuinely poor which didn't help and we hardly got single call all the game.
Still a potential banana skin out of the way after Wednesday night.

| Enjoyed the game today. Was good to be back at home. Listening to Karl on Radio Leeds, he had only 17 fit players. Potts was playing for 55m at Leigh with a broken ankle. These boys are doing it tough at the minute and need / deserve our support more than anything.

Leigh played Leeds away, then us and put 60 unanswered points past Barrow today.
We had ten days rest before playing Leigh then 5 days later struggle past Workington with fatigue/battered bodies as an excuse.
We have (on paper) a side that is just as good as Leigh's yet on the pitch we are underperforming and boring. I want an end to the excuses, to be entertained and to see a decent performance.

I think that's un-called for Sean. People are entitled to their opinions regarding levels of performance/entertainment values. From what i understand there was a lot of giveaway tix for the game, hopefully some of those on first visits will return & the playing staff have to play their parts in capturing those new punters' interest. If a dour performance or spectacle is offered, you stand less of a chance of getting those people to return & pay at the gate FACT.
If the injuries, player availability is such a problem, give some of those young 'uns a chance, to beat such a team as Leigh which contained Duffy, Gardner & Ostick at the weekend there must be some of them knocking at the door, mind you, they might be afraid to step up if our recruitment manager continues to berate them like he did at HT at Gateshead the other week again according to my sources, making quite a habit of it now from what i can gather.
I always wonder how much info regarding injuries a coach needs to give out to opposition coaches during press conferences or media interviews for forthcoming fixtures, we might as well offer them the tactical whiteboard as well while we're at it but i think most coaches have us worked out already by the sound of things.

| My major concern is how low our standards are this year. We consider scraping a win against the likes of Whitehaven and Workington a good result. No disrespect to those clubs but if we really have any aspirations of getting into the middle division then we need to be dispatching these teams with ease. As somebody has said Leigh played Friday, Wednesday, Sunday including a SL team away from home. Even with a lot of injuries they still had enough in the tank to put 60 on Barrow.
