Also is the rumour true about Neil Aspin going off on one about our game going ahead?'"

Don't know Greg, where have you seen a rumour, have you heard it, read it, seen it printed.
Do tell.

No point arguing with them Nat, if you asked Town followers "what colour is black" they would say "white"

| Not one mention thanking the ground staff for working all hours to get the pitch playable. Well done Oz & Hansy a great effort. Only 1570 bothered to turn up and watch the opening game of the biggest season in championship since 2007, and also probably the best day of the winter. The directors must be concerned about the lack of support the club gets from the public of Halifax

I'm sure that's what the Swinny fans were chanting too....

| Going to keep my opinions about the pitch to myself, not seen it other than in photos.
As for people been disappointed about the crowd, the article on the Courier site with Neil Aspin, he expresses his disappointment at the 1500 or so crowds that FCHT pull in.

I thought he was quoted as saying something like "just over a thousand"

Do you mean like Aspins remarks about his disapointment of the Town fans?

| I firmly believe that the demise of The Courier has played a large part in this decline. Out of sight, out of mind.......

| So just how many were in attendance yesterday? OS shows 1750. Whatever the correct figure from those being quoted, its an increase on the same fixture last year (1493).

I`d like to thank one person and that is the Rugby League referee who declared the pitch FIT TO PLAY .
I also had call to pop into the hospitality after the match and it was buzzing , very busy just tucking into after match snacks .Someone was saying they had enjoyed a super meal and the sponsors have increased as well by the looks of things .
