And Behold, a pale horse. And on his back his name was death. The weekend starts on a Monday.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_46669.jpg

Or perhaps not!'"

I don't expect a reply.

Never been insulted? Righty ho..

Why don't you have a look through some of your own posts and fellow Fax fans. The only person not using any insults here has been myself. I'm sure a quick scan through would confirm this. And as a matter of fact I think the Shaymen.net is a wonderful forum for debate, as people who's opinion don't fit on here seem to be booted off.

Geoff, let's leave this for a few days and enjoy the experience of a sell-out crowd at the Shay on Sunday.

I'd assume that every single FCHT fan that could make it will be there (sporting occasions of this magnitude only come round very infrequently, regardless of the game rules or shape of ball).

FC Halifax Town or Halifax Rugby League FC... there's one common word there... "Halifax"...

...support the town, support a local sporting ethos, regardless of individual club affiliations we should all be happy to give our support to our local teams.

Let's hear your experiences from a packed out Shay on Sunday (btw, the game has nowt to do with HRLFC)?

Completely agree with you. I'll be there and hopefully in my usual spot in the South Stand! Will be in the 3 pigs and SSB before the game if anyone would like a chat.

Lets represent the town of Halifax in a positive light.

I can see Reactiv working closely with The Council over the next few years with an eventual handing over sale some time this decade.

Quote: SuperGeoff "The North Stand was developed in the summer. The Shay is losing a very small amount of money in comparison to other facilities in Calderdale. And would that be the pub team that play in a league with a higher level of interest than the second tier of Rugby League?'"

No it wasnt it was tarted up with the bare minimum of work. The Capacity is reduced due to the state of the stand like lack of toilets amongst other things. The Shay is losing alot of money and something the Council cant afford in the long term. It will be sold off whether we like it or not. Its just a question of when. Higher level of interest to whom? Go back to your pathetic little luddite forum. You have no interest on here except to be a keyboard warrior. You and your luddite friends are clueless about your own club let alone trying to think you know anything about Rugby League in Australia or Fax.

Quote: SuperGeoff "Oh the irony in that statement. The only way I can see selling it become the best option for the council is if the Stadium Trust were to reemerge and to control of the ground.'"

Is that the same Stadium Trust that went bust and handed back the lease to Calderdale Council by any chance?
Now you are having a laugh the SST failed to deliver yet still claims the credit for getting the Council to complete the East Stand when it was actually the fans of BOTH clubs who united and marched on the Town Hall which made the Councillors do something.

I got to say, looking at all the evidence, I don't think Reactiv will be buying the shay. Seems the council have been caught on the hop and there's a fair few legal hurdles to jump.

Maybe Tony should invest all he can in making Fax as great as he can do.......

I am going to the shay on sunday and am looking forward to it.
I also believe that the Football Conference is a more highly respected sporting league than tier 2 RL in the UK.

I would agree with that Nige. The conference is a tough league and whatever the feelings that exist between RL and Footy fans I have no doubts about the validity of that statement. RL both outside AND IN super league has some major restructuring to get through.

Well don't you look a little bit stupid now. If they were so desperate to sell the Shay it would have been put on the open market.

No, it's you who not only looks stupid but IS stupid. Why don't you just go back on your own site with the rest of the idiots?

I don't notice this forum having hundreds of pages of rhetoric about the stadium. I don't think that most Fax fans are particularly bothered who owns the stadium, we're more interested in what happens on that bit of grass in the middle and I personally am only interested when an oval ball is being used as I find football a totally boring game played by a load of overpaid prima donnas.

I don't think the term desperate to sell has been used, more like an option to sell.

What the statement does say is.

1. The council are facing enormous financial pressure. (To which the Shay is contributing.)

2.The Shay both needs and deserves further investment. (To which in view of the above they cannot provide but Reactiv can and have been doing.)

3.They welcome the support The Reactiv Media Group is already giving and will continue to talk to them.
(Notice a thank you for the support from Reactiv with no mention of Town.)

4.They are interested in hearing from others. (Which means the option to sell is still a possibilty.)

We know your views on the subject which differ from the majority on here and you state them on every post yet you have not been booted off as you claimed would happen.

You complain about insults and the only one not doing so yet the next day reply by calling someone stupid.

And without the work of the town fans the ground would have been put into an uncertain future. I'm ure that isn't what you want is it?

If you want to watch a team full of players who give 100% to the cause and aren't overpaid by a club who are run in profit then you'd love FC Halifax Town.

I for one am glad that the rest of the world doesn't share your view, hence why football is a sport played all over the world by people of all races.

1. I agree but the Shay is only a very small portion of the problem

2. What money have Reactiv put into the ground? Only money they've put in is an attempt to keep you solvent.

3. What are they supposed to say about Town? "Thanks for making us realise the legal barriers that we'd torn down"?

4. I read this to be in terms of sponsorship and grants. The Football Foundation would be a very good possibility for this.
