| Quote: littlerich "I have to question the player mentality last night. Straight from kick off we weren't ready. We weren't fired up. Too slow to react to Finn straight from the word go. Their players were sledging and back slapping straight from the word go. Ours were looking at each other saying "this is your ball" and then letting it bounce. THEY DID THIS TWICE IN A ROW FROM A FINN KICK OFF.
Midway through the first half Rob fielded what looked to me like a lame kick but he made a meal of it because his reactions weren't sharp enough. He doesn't get enough game time - keeps drifting in and out of the team so he isn't match sharp.
Sometimes we turn up with the wrong attitude and it seems only Murrell can instil a sense of urgency into the squad - I think one day he'll make a great coach.
Are we much different a club from Featherstone and Sheffield that we can't achieve the consistency that they do? What is the common denominator? Is it the coaching? Powell and Aston are good coaches - there's no argument there but last night there was no Powell. What makes these teams tick?
Is the common denominator the way we handle our playing staff as a club? Do we operate the correct strategy as regards contracts, bonus structures and player management? Who knows? Something doesn't quite gel with our squads. We've won trophies though and our club hasn't run into financial calamities like Leigh for example. However, we're just not quite the finished article. I have no clue how the team are going to perform on a weekly basis. One week world beaters, next week headless chickens. It's been like that for ten years. Luckily for me it doesn't curb my enthusiasm to be a Fax fan.'"
Blimey Rich I bet you've been up all night writing this post , or has someone done it for you , ive been told your having lessons on how to use a Knife and Fork now .
Well after last night , what can Charlie say ?I must admit the result amused me when I say amused , I mean it had me laughing loud , when I say laughing loud ?I nearly bought a round of drinks and NO bonus point , the Leythers are "BEHIND YOU ", and Handforth and Thackery don't make me laugh , the Worrier is very entertaining , he spent more time out of play than the Touchjudge I think he has been watching DVDs of Ben BUTTERFINGERS Black , hes awesome under the highball , the Leythers in your team did OK ,but Tyrer makes Mick Nanyn look speedy , you look light years away from the Flying high team of April , that were shot down in May , CHARLIE KNOWS Finally the Salfordlad has summed up your interest in Riddy , in his reply on this topic .

| Thought Fev by far the better team. Quite a simple game plan based on very good agresssive defence and astute kicking. Our forwards totally dominated by their starting six and bench players. Only towards the end did they start making a few mistakes. They just seemed more physical than us . It took us an hour to make a clean break when Rettie burst through. I also think KH is missing a trick by not starting Karl Ashall at 9. When he came on there was definitely a zip to our play - couple of runs from dummy half , quick distribution etc. Craig Ashall is so much better at 13 than 9 imo although he played decently at 6 when they removed Handforth.
It's a worry when one player , Murrell , is missing that we just seem so ordinary - he really does make a huge difference doesn't he ?

| Spot on lad.
Fax were poor last night and fortunate that the score was not a lot bigger.
All teams have an off day you still have quality in the side however.

| Couldn't make the game last night so have just watched it through and you guys have nailed it across the comments.
Fev were all over us last night and it looked like men against boys.
We smashed in every way.
It will be interesting to see what the effect is on the teams confidence when you take a beating like that.
Against the better sides we don't seem to have closed the gap at all, in fact in may be wider.

| If this question Calland or Harrison is a serious question then I think we are in real trouble! I am just a bit disappointed that another season is coming to a close and we are again no nearer being a championship winning side. In fact you could probably make a realistic assessment that we are standing still at best! Forget rail cups and GF, winning the league is the mark of a good side. Not wishing to be down on GH but I do sense the result yesterday was not really unexpected, I think the tactics and resorting to using injured players seemed to bordering on clutching at straws. A 2000 crowd for such a important match clearly shows many supporters are losing patience.

| Have to say Karls interview didn't inspire me with confidence, his comment that you have to peak later not now I don't agree with, we have to keep up with the leaders and finish in the top 2 if possible.
Also affects the crowd too so I'd say you need to play well now even more so.

Don't know about Ridyard but on the other you are spot on. (I believe)
Finn to us on a two year deal, Sam to Fev till the end of the season and then off to Leigh on a two year contract.
Finn nearly joined us this season, ( I believe) a director wanted him out, Powell did not, Powells gone,
Welcome aboard Liam, (I believe)

| Sadly and perhaps worryingly I think we've gone backwards and the brand of rugby under KH is mostly painfully slow and boring to watch. How can the club expect to attract new / old supporters when serving up the dross in the important games?? It's all well and good stuffing lower sides and cooing over how good we are but when it matters Versus the big sides we are left lacking and we dont just lose in a tight, hard fought game - We get battered and look a poor side.

Swifty , its a case of CHARLIE KNOWS , all I can say is Ashall to Ashall =Dust to Dust , they are below average players , and Fax a few of them , at least you realise when players are not good enough at this level .
