When you consider the effort put in to get the friendly on just a few weeks ago the pitch was fantastic.

I have to laugh as Town Fans blame us for the state of the Shay pitch, even after we had played one game.
Perhaps we should ask them to look at Batleys and tell them that's what a pitch looks like with no footballers on it.
Plus point for me was I thought we'd lose, with the reverse being true when we threw away a 10 point lead.
How a stiff arm head shot and a head-butt (albeit that Sam goaded him into it) left the dogs with 13 on the pitch I don't have a clue. That said, if we'd won against 11 men, then we still wouldn't know if we were a force to be reckoned with or not. Still a lot to do on offence (but not 10 points in front with 6 minutes to go) but the defence is looking more solid.
