I AM that very Clown  but the Fevvers have made me an Hononary Flat Capper , so i have to want them to win at times , i also have a good friendship with a few Faxxers also , especially Bentleyman , a great bloke ,John if you come to the Goose pub when you visit the LSV , next ,i will be in the chair , for a drink ,as for a being a Pundit ,Charlie KNOWS  I would love to see you all at Blackpool for a repeat of the NRC in July .

On dry ground Thacks was always gonna come good. As for Handforth, couldnt wait for him to pull on the blue and white when we signed him and grab a game by the scruff of its neck! he hasnt really impressed as much as i thought he would.
but yesterday he was awesome, kicking was supurb and he broke the line 2 or 3 times! class act.
Robbo out wide was fantastic, hes been playing with a hernia for weeks and if he can perform like this injured then god help our challengers when hes fit!
We missed Manning on the other side yesterday though i thought. Not a bad addition for Batley me thinks!

Handforth finally got back to doing what he does best yesterday. He got involved, he was commanding the attack, setting up and executing plays and even broke the line once or twice! Hopefully now he'll stick to those performances cos boy does it show!

Incidentally, a friend of the family is Dave Smith, his dad played for Leigh and I believe Great Britain, remember him? Dave Junior is about 6' 10 inches played basketball in America and also in this country.

John i love the banter with opposing fans , nothing better  as for my predictions , as you say im hopeless as a Pundit though my top 3 tips are Fev , Leigh , and Batley ,though i have tipped Fax to narrowly win on the Leythers forecast Comp this week , kiss of death there .
As for your mate ?We had a Dave Smith playing for us a few years ago , we signed him from Huddersfield , i remember we played Rochdale , we were losing by 9 points , with about 5 minites to go , and he went for a Drop Goal , very bizarre , what year did he play for us ?

Nah he did the 40/20 before their first try and scored that late try but not a lot else, he gave the ball away cheaply costing them a knock on 3 times by my count. yer he is a decent player but not the class act he was whe he first came over from Oz.
Thacks tried hard today but Handforth was a marked man by them and I think they got to him 2nd half as he disappeared.

He did okay but you made out he was superb which he wasn't, it was not a game for anybody to stand out it was a war of attrition and we fell into the trap of trying to take them on head on instead of using our brains and the ball. It was a dirty game from BOTH sides loads of head shots and laying on which the Ref allowed, he was weak, we lost the plot at the end.
