| Think some of you guys are being a little harsh on 'Fax. There really wasn't that much in it. For me it was an impossible day for creativity, although I agree you are struggling at half back. Thackeray has struggled against us, before, although Handforth has given us problems when he was with Batley - but then he's always had another good operator with him. They're not in the same league as the likes of Branighan and Black though - but then who is, in this league. (except perhaps Finn & Briggs)
Nobody has so far mentioned what I thought could have been the game-breaker, in the first half, when you broke clean through and had about five onto our full back, and managed to make a complete 'horlicks' of it. If that chance had stuck, and you'd still got the two tries before half-time........

Think you're being more than a little harsh on McNally there Alan - tremendous full back play and spacial awareness to come out on top in a three on one situation, albeit one Fax would have scored from had Worrincy come inside of his runner.

Yer that pass out to Worrincy was a schocker was it Ben Heaton who passed it?
He is a good lad but can't pass the ball, hope he gets back this season though as he can learn but his leg sounds bad.

| I'll take back the terrible, to an extent, we were terrible on their line considering the amount of chances we had. But in hindsight our defence was fantastic at times and the majority of players did step up from last week.

Agree the Fax defence was very good for most of the game, just that drop off Duffy really that was poor much better.
On another positive note we had good support today, was impressive seeing all those fans in the standing area well done.

Not at all. McNally did brilliantly, as he did with some very testing kicks. But, in that situation, 'Fax should really have scored.

| Just a note that Fieldhouse looked by far the best player on the pitch. He just keeps getting better and better. Safe as houses under the high ball but not just that, breaks tackles for fun. Superb game and harsh not to get the MOM.

| Not heard any update on Heaton.
Has anyone noticed the irony in the scoreline? Exactly the same as a certain match 25 years ago this week. Shame this one wasn't in out favour!!

| The ease in which old man Goulden bashed his way over from close range concerns me, he did nothing other than head down @rse up and took three static defenders over with him, shameful defending on your own line. Credit to him for doing his job, but how many of our grafters run with such desire over 10 metres ?

| We lack linebreakers when Azuie is not on the pitch, Barlow can do it but is not close to being fit yet.

| What I'd like to know is why have we got a 6 playing at 7 and a 7 playing at 6?
Thackery can create naff all at first receiver, he's very much a Danny McGuire player. On the fringes when he's given the ball with time he can be devastating but when he's tight in the middle he can't create a thing. Handforth is a 7 but has been near shambolic these last couple of weeks, his defensive frailties have been cruelly found out when he plays 6. Get him tight in the middle of the field working the forwards enabling the space and time Thackray and the outside backs need.

Aizue couldn't break through a paper bag against Leigh in the first game and Barlow undos all his good work with ball in hand with his brain dead, stupid, needless penalties.

| To me the whole game swung on not taking 2 points at 16-6, Leigh fans by me could n't believe it, neither could I. If we took that then we were in the driving seat and a drop goal from there on would have sealed it. Leigh visibly lifted when we knocked on.
