| Of course, everyone is bound to have an opinion but let's actually get the thing out of the way before we start piling in and slagging it all off as there are bound to be teething problems. The main point is that what ever doesn't work should be learned from [iand acted upon[/i (ie - timing/structure of comp, notice to fans etc) for next season. If the RFL are hell bent on helping the French (which they are) then is this a cheaper solution than sending a team back and forth over the Channel every weekend.

| I agree with you.
It is only a matter of time before we have Superleague sides in Milan Barcelona Madrid and Berlin isn't it ?
On the other hand maybe the guys now running our game might be sectioned soon.

| I also think that we should send the U23's.
It is a distraction we could do without in the middle of the season and just before the NRC quarter finals.
As I've said before, it is simply a thinly disguised excercise to keep Toulouse in the limelight ready for the next round of franchises. Why else would they be the only club who weren't required to qualify and were also included in the NRC even though they never were when they were in the Championship?

completely agree mate - the inclusion into the NRC plus the go ahead for redevelopment of the stadium in Toulouse is further proof
doesn't mean it's a bad thing though ?

It wouldn't be so bad if the RFL were at least up front and honest about it but no, they are their usual devious, dishonest selves who, in order to promote Toulouse, make the Championship clubs jump through hoops at a critical part of the season.
If Fax, Fev, Leigh or Sheffield were to pick up any injuries to key players it could conceivably cost them the Championship and/or the NRC along with it's associated loss of income.

true enough though Toulouse having to play in the NRC & Challenge Cup added to the LER & French Cup hasn't done them any favours, picking up injuries o the way and seriously depleting their squad and so really affecting their chances of LER glory which is their main objective...
anyway FM, Tarkus is an overrated album IMO - much prefer Brain Salad Surgery...

difficult to disagree Les but I prefer the studio version on the cd after the live recording but surely the Montreux version and overall recording must better the album version by a mile despite their dotage ?
For the best version of the real thing I would recommend the Toulouse Orchestra (ONCT) conducted by Tugan Sokhiev - pure magic !
