| Dews offered little to test. BUT, you looked more than comfortable all afternoon. I thought you'd lose before the game. From the outset the result was never in doubt. As I've just said to my mate, underestimate Fax at our peril!
Fax looked organised. Dews?? Dear me.. the swear filter prevents my preferred descriptor!!!

| Thought we played with an intenisty that I haven't seen for a while, piling into the Dewsbury pack like thier lives depended on it.
KH looks to have really got in the players heads in a positive way.
Bowman and handford looked the part today but hats off to Robinson he never took a backward step all afternoon.

It was great to see our lot patting each other on the back and the enthusiasm after a good play, it's something we've been missing for a long time I think.

| We have been a one man team (Penky) for far too long and today has confirmed a rosy future IMO. Calland's rotation of three hookers worked for half a season but he tried to flog it for too long.
Our forwards were immense today however the options displayed by Bowman and Penky (supported by Handforth on the positioning side), particularly on such an awful pitch were terrific - THEN we introduce Thackeray who to me looks like a class act in a blue shirt!
Good stuff folks - can't fault anything I saw at all today. The ribbing of Fozzard was great!

To be fair, after that first tackle Fozzard, didn't hide, he asked for the ball three times in succession, pity however that the last time he ended up doing his war dance and looking an idiot. I said after that, "wait for the cheap shot" and it came. Penky and him on report. my opinion, no case to answer for both of them. After all it's Rugby League. It's a hard game.

| Really encouraging today.
The kicking game, particularly from Handforth, was first class and made for some excellent field position.
The defence was superb also and the team spirit clearly evident.
Fax good, or Dews poor? A bit of both I think!
A great start!

| Well played fax!
Attack was good...especially the kicks.
Defence was solid, and we would have kept them to nil if the ref wasn't determined to give them a try.
Today proved that our forwards are capable of winning any battle down the middle. The backs didn't have that much space to run as it was a small pitch and Dewsbury were always offside!
But on a bigger pitch like the shay and our pack plays like that...just let the backs do the rest and we can beat anyone!
Great start. Also nice to see all of the players celebrating every try as if it had just won the match and celebrating at the end as if they'd just won the NRC. Shows they really want it and we have great team spirit.
Can feel us thrashing Rochdale next week if we play like today.
PS SIT DOWN FOZZARD!

Luck is a combination of preparation and opportunity
Just to avoid confusion Starbug is the username of Steven Pike
SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!:9005.jpg |

| So ' Nick ' is following in the footsteps of big Barrie and Mick Cassidy in thinking they can drop down to the ' cheap seats ' and knock the natives about a bit? , well he'll be in for a shock

| I wouldn't disagree with the previous posts re:Robinson but I thought our best prop was Jimbo closely followed by Josh Barlow, his best performance in the senior team that I can remember. All three half backs were brilliant in the right areas of the field, Reittie, Whitey & Fieldy look solid at the back & good going forwards so I reckon Rob W is waiting for a downturn in someone's form or an
injury to get back in 'cos you just don't sit an out and out winger on the bench. Ashall is more than versatile & with the missing forwards, Patto & Haley to get back to fitness things look promising, I honestly thought we'd struggle today and came away from the game in great spirits.

| Well I thought that we would struggle but get a close win today which was crucial as we cannot afford to lose 2 games.
We actually played exceptionally well and really stuck it to them, great effort all round well done lads you played as a TEAM.
Well done to Rhino who was brave playing so many young lads in such a tough game on a tight and very heavy pitch. Its how they will learn but it was a gamble but they did not let him down and in Handforth we have a true general on the pitch, his kicking was excellent he is Mr Reliable.
Came away beaming today that was some performance, we made Dewsbury look poor.
