| Phil Veivers was interviewed at the Stadium 27th Dec said he was trying to sort out a 3rd pre-season fixture , with Either Halifax or Oldham being the most likely .
We have Leigh this Saturday at 2Pm , and Wigan on Tuesday Night 27th Jan.
Tickets are £12 for Leigh & £ 15 for Wigan 'Friendlies'
Parking on site is limited Max 600 at Present as the outlying landscaping is still being sorted , there were also planning restrictions limiting the Stadium parking imposed after the public enquiry. a mixture of Highways Agency idiocy and environmental nonsense..
the stadium is running Park & Ride Schemes from the Trafford Centre & Willows to the Ground on match days
rlhttp://www.reds.co.uk/rugby-news/bus-travel-to-stadium-available-from-willows-and-trafford-centrerl
there will be cash parking locally at Barton Aerodrome opposite and Salford City College & Eccles ARLFC within walking distance we're told .

| I have been to a meeting at the City of Salford Stadium this afternoon and have come away very impressed.
A good set up, with an immaculate playing surface as you would expect.
My only concerns are the lack of official on site parking at present, and the right turn on to Liverpool Rd ( A57 ) at the end of the game, as this is probably one of the busiest roads in Greater Manchester.
That aside i am really looking forward to our visit, weather permitting.

When they move in, they'll be the major tenants. I can see Salford matches being switched to make way for some massive Sale Sharks match in the season overlaps.
I think it's something to do with the massive amounts of money their board have in comparison to the debt-ridden Salford club.

| That's not what I read this week in a major press release. Sale Sharks are about to blow the lid on League's domination of the Rugby codes in the North.
Apparently.

Sale Sharks can't even sell out edgeley park pal, and do you really think an area seriously dominated by Football and the leftovers into Rugby League are going to watch that drivel Rugby Union? Sale rarely attracted over 3000 at Heywood Rd in Sale so what makes you think they would attract more playing out of nearby Salford. a load of rubbish.

I thought their crowds averaged 8,000 to 9,000. I may be wrong though. And yes, I agree, they won't take "the North" by storm - they're only one club but I do feel that they will be the "daddy" in the new stadium at Barton - eventually. Simply, they have more financial clout.

8,000 to 9,000? ![Laughing icon_lol.gif](images/smilies//icon_lol.gif) Heywood rd only had a capacity of just over 5000? And they couldn't fill that i know my uncle used to go and watch and come home and tell me how poor the crowds were there.
It doesn't matter what financial clout they have the fact is Salford or Manchester people will not take to Union they only just take to RL and we’ve had an RL club for over 100 years. Salford and Manchester is Football first by a country mile then RL followed by cricket RU is miles away why do you think Sale decided the move away to Stockport? They had a good period where they won the premiership but since then have done nothing supporter wise.

| Well, hopefully they will keep "below stairs". I know they did well a couple of year ago as you say but I did think they got decent crowds at Edgeley Park.
