I know Blacky's had his injury problems, but all in all not being an automatic choice for one of the half back positions really says it all, especially when there's been no real competition for the spot. Were Handforth or Roonie ever played from the bench? I doubt it (unless they were returning from injury). Blacky had a good season two years ago and before I get swamped by mad hysteria .... yes ... he dropped "that" goal in last year's GF.

I sincerely wish Ben all the best at Batley. And I will certainly applaud his re-appearances at the Shay. But I think their fans will be expecting too much and will end up disappointed.

Other than Ben Black we have carried on with exactly the same recruitment policy as we have for the past few seasons, young lads from the lower division or from SL academies. All of the other stuff is hearsay!

Could well be, but he was said to be on a fair bit of money at Fax, and if the rumours were right, there was demand for his signature, however can see reason's why he'd choose Batley over Swinton

I saw Danny earlier today - he told me he as not been offered anything from Fax and is defo moving on.

Depending if Keighley win tomorrow Danny could go back to them now with two years experiance at Championship level, alternatively I know Barry Heaton rates him so he could go to Hunslet.
He as been loyal to Fax on two occasions and we thank him for that. ( our Danny is a bit of a joking and do's a great impression of Paul Cullan if you can get him to do it)

When Danny left Keighley a couple of years ago he had several offers from other clubs and picked the one best for him at the time choosing to come back to his home town club. He is certainly not short of offers this time round either and I would expect if Keighley win today he will go back there if they don`t there are 2 or 3 others queing up for him.Good Luck Danny wherever you go I think under another coach things would have been differant for you.

Not really. I think many on here are "scared" to say what they really think about Danny because he does come across as being a good bloke who tried his hardest and loved the club. But being honest, he wasn't good enough and all in all I think next season's Thackery / Handforth pairing offers so much more than a Jones / Black pairing.

Still wish Danny all the best wherever he goes and he did drop "that" goal at Fev to send us to Blackpool
