Number of clubs who have had license removed by the RFL since franchising started = 0

League extended to accommodate all existing clubs + 2 new ones originally, and now 1 team withdrew and replaced with another. Therefore RFL never had to boot anyone out so don't give us a load of BS about what a 'tough decision' it is.

Absolute disgrace. Everyone should fire off an email to the RFL. I will be doing when home from work.

I am afraid the only chance of me starting to regularly follow Fax was if they managed to get back into SL. I love RL as a game, but if there is no chance of promotion then there is no interest for me.

Commiserations to all Fax fans, I thought you deserved your place in SL.

I would love to know how the business department at Leeds University managed to find that a club in administration was a better financial prospect than one that was not. Not sure they'd get a pass on thier dissertation for that if they were entering it for a degree. What a complete shambles this whole franchising system is.

I can't beleive in his speach he patted himself on the back for how franchising was helping the clubs, yet since franchising has been introduced, three clubs in Super League have entered administration and still remain there. The one thing that franchises are supposed to stop. Well done sir!

This decision sadly provides prrof that the RFL will NEVER give us a license. I can no longer pay to watch a meaningless league. Pains me enormously but my back is turned on RL forever after today. i wouldnt have been at all down about, wakey down...and us staying down, but this really does take the biscuit!!

the RFL should not just be embarassed, they should be ashamed!

so what incentive does this give to Cas and Wakey to spend a shed load of money on a new stadium....... NONE !!!!!!!!!!

I thought you only need 4 points to get a grade C license all of which, for us, would be covered by the stadium (and what comes with a good stadium) alone.

I'm afraid that's me done. Moving to uni in September and on top of everything else, I just don't want to be a part of this sport anymore. If they kick that big eared naive prat and co out, i'll gladly reconsider.

But at the end of the season i'm done. I wish the club all the best and thank them for all their efforts, its a great club and they deserve so much more.

It's all in the wording. All they said is we weren't awarded a =#FF0000'C' License, not that we didn't get a =#FF0000'C' grade.

The RFL covered their backs the other day by saying details of each bid would not be made public after the announcement. So Halifax could have got a 'B' grade for all we know. What we didn't get was a Super League License, not that we didn't get a 'C' grade. We must have got a 'C' at least because the RFL said we met the super league criteria back in March.
