Leave it out with the player bashing. Our major problem has been lasck of pssion so far this season not too much of it.'"
I am not player bashing but highlighting how he could easily be even better. Some of things he did on sunday could have been avoided. I mean kicking the ball at the ptb. I believe he is sl quality but there is some things he needs to work on. I just want sam and others to keep improving and am not knocking his quality and effort.

| Barlow has been charged by the RFL for a grade B offence following his high shot on Sunday.

I wonder if he got caught up in Gary Hetherington's grassing up campaign.

| I saw Andy Lynch last night while he was coaching the Bulls scholars U/16's & he just laughed off the incident when some of the kids gave him a bit of bird over it. He still has his pretty boy looks, didn't look too damaged by the shot.

Barlow was a tower. A lot Players with 'discipline' you desire wouldn't have been able to do for 20 minutes what Sam did for 80.
Sam 'bowser' barlow!'"
had he been sent off after 5 seconds everybody wouldve been miserable, yourself included maybe
Im not doubting Sam is a great player and just the type we need to climb the table. However he does lose his head at times- it is a weakness whether you like it or not, and one that I dont feel is excusable
he will learn, i just hope through coaching rather than the hard way

| Good job it wasn't Hicks reffing the game.. He sent Dane Manning walking for much much less.
Barlow and Manning aside it does show the inconsitency between refs that infuriates coaches, players and fans!!

| Well i think the majority realise Sam should have walked, he was very lucky IMO but maybe give some credit to Bentham, had he sent him off the game would not have been as entertaining as it was.
Im not a fan off the officials especially touch judges but credit where credits due.

And if the player had received a serious injury, how would Bentham have known ?
Incidently, without the opposition citing an incident, which in this case I don't think they have, how can it be reviewed after the game ?
The referee made a judgement there & then by penalising the indescretion, surely it will be a case of "penalty sufficient punishment", if Barlow receives any form of suspension or fine, how does the referee look ?

Clearly something i hadnt thought about and i hold my hands up, i mean i personally felt he should have been sent of or at least put on report but than again its down to the ref isnt it and thankfully the bulls player wasnt hurt and the rest of us got to watch a decent game of rugby league despite it been error strewn

Thought the RFL review all matches, regardless of anyone being cited or being put on report?

| All games have to be taped and watched by the review panel hence how Sam has been cited by the RFL

| Pretty peeved with this. Despite Sam's tackle being bad, Mr.Bentham obviously used his common sense and put it down to over-exuberance in the first minute of a big game. He also probably took into consideration the fact that a red card at that stage would have ruined the game as a spectacle.
Got to ask why Hicks red-carded Dane Manning for an offence that looked nothing more than innocuous to those who saw it. Also got to question the timing of the red card in the context of the match, and the fact that a player was dismissed for the first piece of 'foul' play in the entire match. When do we EVER see players dismissed for high tackles these days anyway??!! Normally its nothing more severe than an 'on report' verdict against the culprit. I afraid that it all smacks of something rather sinister to me.
That Manning is not even facing a charge or ban for his tackle is a real a kick in the teeth for Batley fans and especially our playing staff.
