If Sam has / does sign for Wakefield, then I say good luck to him. You really cant blame him for wanting to play at Superleague level. Even though Wakefield are teetering on the edge of Championship from 2012, it would give Sam a year in the shop window.
As for Dual reg, If Wakefield want to sign him it would be because they have seen something that they want to fit into their team and not to loan straight back out, surely.

Been in the Championship the best players will want ambition.It is a short career and i do not blame him if offered a bigger contract elsewhere.If i was offered 25 grand a year at fax, then someone offered me 40 grand i would move on.

But if that was last month, things could have changed for the lad. If he thought that he would be at fax next season and then a Superleague club made an approach, he would be mad to turn them down. |

I spoke to Sam at the Past Players dinner and he said he was keen to stop at Halifax.
Hopefully him signing for Wakey is just an unfounded rumour, and if Sam and Fax aren't a million miles apart in discussions a way can be found to make up any small differences
