| Don't like the club going down the DR route. Do DR players have to be selected if available? Or is it at the discretion of the club to decide if we pick them or not?

No, no obligations.

| Very disappointing. DR signings are nothing but an admission that we are a feeder club. Why not a proper loan signing? I wish we would sign Fax lads who are free agents. I would hope Fax have no more DR signings.

| Must admit im not a fan of this system, in essence the only way you get to keep a player is if they are playing poor, we saw with Kopzsack it didn't work, I can understand a couple of utility players, but it must unsettle sides, and you cant build a team round them, loan years fair enough. British RL has taken leave if its senses.

| The problem is with DR currently in the system what SL side would not go for that over a normal loan? They are obviously going to cover themselves in case of a major injury crisis.
Widnes are in the tricky posistion as our loans always work out great for Wigan but not as great for us. So do we up the anti and say season loans or nothing, hoping with past success they go for it, or do we risk losing out on players they'd simply move to our rivals?
Worst thing about the system is (as usual) the RFL threw it in (initially for Quins & Skolars 2 years back) without thinking every rule through that led to a right mess. Simple way should be every monday morning the SL club decides if player will play for them at weekend or for Champ club and they have to stick with that no matter what.

| Its SL and Red Hall setting ridicoulous rules, all they want is everyone beneath them to be a feeder club and a second string game. Well i have news for those twerps at Red Hall, the international side are garbage, the coach is useless, Wood and Lewis are buffoons and the standard of SL over the last few years has gone down, so whatever they are doing is tripe.
Good luck to Jacob though, hope it works out for him and Fax, one thing i will say though is dont listen to everyone involved in the game about initiatives, some RL folk aren't the smartest, its a contact sport, not Chess.

| I hate doing this, defending the RFL, but I find the people that criticise them for implementing this system a little bit odd.
At the end of the day this is not a compulsory system. There are no quotas in place that have to be met. It is up to the club to take up the offer of a player in this way.
If it works then the Championship club potentially get a better quality of player than they might on a loan deal and if the player returns to the SL club for a spell then there is no need to renegotiate a new loan deal.
The SL club are in a position to offer the better quality players knowing they have an instant recall option and the players themselves get to benefit from playing.
You can see it being of great benefit to some of the smaller clubs in the league particularly.

| Good to have a local lad with us next season. But I am not a big fan of the DR system at all.

Your lucky with him though in that he's nowhere near first team level.

I think your right there, but I suppose it does depend on how he develops over the season and how Huddersfield go with injuries in the back row.

Hopefully, Giants do seem to have a lot of bodies in the forward area. But it's like SB said, depends on how many injuries they pick up.

But most of the time it is those smaller teams that miss out on the DR, They want their players in the better teams competeting, Widnes, Leigh, Batley had a few last year. Its more who you know and the contacts you have in the game, I.e Millward getting 4 DR players last year. Its a total Shambles and treats Championship clubs like a training ground, and that WE ARE NOT !!!
Full Loan deals is totally fine and should be the way it is done.

In principle dual reg aren't majorly different to loans so doesn't justify 'training ground' tag to one and not the other. Dual reg purely allows players to go between clubs which still happened on loan deals anyway just more month to month than week to week. Simple fact is you get better quality players on dual reg but risk the chance of losing them if other side gets injuries!
