Us in Happyfax like our own to do well thank you very much, I played against young Barlow's dad many times, think the world of his family & Sam's aunty is godmother to one of my kids. When Sam found us in the East stand just after sunday's game, he made his feelings known where his loyalties & thanks for support lie, we loved it just like he did, your loss lad.

He's a [igood[/i player in this division mind and we need 17 of him on the pitch 'attitude & pride' wise but he's got some way before SL (or Widnes next year) will come knocking imo.
No dig at the lad, I think a full pre-season at Halifax under his belt will see him right for an even better next year

Not denying he represents his home town club with pride. But he has left his past 3 clubs prematurely and also think of how you got hold of him? You can't ignore those points as won title with club can you! |

Tbf I'd agree with that mate, how old us he btw? Your right a few full seasons at one club and it would be interesting to see how he ends up

I know and have played with and against some very talented players who should have been playing at Pro level, even SL level. But they lacked the work ethic and ambition to make it. Sam is not the most talented forward in the world, but when I have seen him he gives 100% for Fax. Now what more can you ask from a player? Some are blessed with talent-Black, Shad and Penky for example. However you also need forwards who give 100% and do the hard donkey work for others to shine. This is why Fax won last week as the likes of Barlow, Aizue, Larder, Wrench, Frank gave everything they had, so that the talented players did the business.
I wish each player Fax signed gave as much for the club as Sam has shown for us since signing. I am also glad that he won a winners medal for Fax. Keep it up Sam and you will be a legend like Wrench and Larder are now in our eyes. People who know the game respect not just the superstars, but also those who give 100% and do the hard work that often is unnoticed like Larder and Wrench did.
