Hope the lads ok. We were in the wetherspoons where a lot of so called fev fans were and they were quite intimidating. I believe the police were called shortly after we left. One thing we did notice was a lot were not wearing fev colours just the flat caps. Trouble makers on a day out rather than true fans?

I didnt meet one single decent fev fan yesterday, everyone I came across summed up the low life interbred coal digging monkey stereotype.

Yes both sets of fans had problems, but when a steward gets pepper sprayed and arrested, what does that tell you about Warrington Wolves and their stadium management?

There was a few Fev scum, I won't call them fans as it is an injustice to the real fans, just looking for trouble in the coach parking area, they were goading everyone who went past so lets hope the guy is OK and the Police get the culprits

Just because you're not wearing colours doesn't mean you're not a fan. I don't wear colours when I go to an Eagles game and not many of my mates do either

The lad has had to have emergency surgery.

rlhttps://www.warringtonguardian.co.uk/news/8415632.Rugby_fan_seriously_injured_after_match/rl

Lets hope he pulls through, and that any Fev fans who know who the assailant was come forward and speak to the police

Fev fans were a disgrace yesterday.

Every confrontation was brought down to a scummy level involving swearing or violence, suprising how a little village near Castleford can bread so much SCUM!

Anyway the result was right and hopefully their conduct was seen by all and any SL dreams for them died along with their 2010 campaign.

I hope the lad makes a full recovery and that the culprit(s) are found and brought to justice.

It's a terrible shame that this has taken the gloss off of what was a great game of Rugby League and a comeback that showed true heart from Fax.

Hope the fella pulls through.

Can't believe there wasn't a police presence in the coach park, i wont refer to them as fev fans as i dont believe they were but several were just looking for bother in the car park, very poor losers.

But this was a group of about 50 people, not one in club colours!

I was shocked at how the Fev Fans were acting. I think the majority of rugby fans are used to vocal abuse by now. But the way that those 30+ Fev fans tried to run on the pitch thinking they were in a scene of Green Street or something was disgusting.

I was also amazed at when we were walking back around the stadium after the game, 5 Fev Fans all in there 20's started laughing, chucking stuff and shouting the "w..ky... chant" at a boy who only must have been 14/15. Just not needed at all in this game, really was bullying.

Hope whoever was involved pulls through. Sad end to a great day.

York City Knights fan standing with the Fev fans. Sums it up perfectly.

Quote: w..ky... chant "For me and a few others this was just not the sort of environment or atmosphere I want to stand in and watch rugby with my 14yr old daughter, I have not seen that sort of behaviour at an RL game in over 35 years of watching it, police with batons drawn ? do we really want that creeping into our game ? I think not.'"

And before anyone cries out I know there was problems in our crowd aswell. But the Fev lot, not a nice crowd at all.

Absolute scum.

Hope the lad pulls through. What a shame such a classic game has been tarnished by this incident and the fire too.

Funnily enough, last year I saw absolutely no trouble at all. Fans from bot Fax & Barrow were drinking together in the pub just outside the ground. After the game there were hands being shaken & friendly banter - No trouble. When Fev came to Barrow earlier in the season there were Fev supporters swapping ends and goading fans. After the game there was trouble in the crowd.........seems to be a common denominator in amongst all this doesn't there? icon_rolleyes.gif

I sincerely hope that your supporter recovers fully. I have just started taking my 5yr old to games and don't want this type of thing creeping in. I most certainly won't be attending any game involving Fev icon_sad.gif

Am I the only one who expected this if we won, I have said for many a seasons when we play Fev away a lot of them get nasty if we we win at their place, htis season has been better as we lost but when we have won afterwards it's been a bit dodgy, I've seen grown men try get on teh fax coach starting, bricks and what not pelted at the coaches, kids effing and blinding tos us. When they win their more or less fine but when they lose they get nasty.

All yesterday you could tell quite a large majority just wanted to kick off, even before the game, then to win like we did well that was asking for it, I think we staying in the ground quite a bit afterwards to cheer the team was a blessing in disguise.
