Does it really matter? If we have been kicked out of the cup I can see us being guilty of misconduct. We did play a player who was cup tied. I would think that's enough for misconducted. Could be wrong though.

Well said. I know it's difficult but let's try to put this behind us. If we were to get our act together and win the Grand Final this mess would quickly be forgotten.

Having said that, we still require a full explanation asap before the fans start to vote with their feet.

No - i think the misconduct enquiry will ask - did we willfully plan it? The answer - No. Had we been playing Widnes, then quite possibly.

The only nagging doubt is to whether the 2 directors left because of it. If that's the case, then we knew about it and tried to keep quiet.

I don't get how Ostick did not fess up or realise he might be cup tied. Sorry but that strikes me as a bit dumb, most fans know, the lads cost Fax some brass and all over a player who I didn't think improved the team anyhow.

The main question for me now is how do the club, players and crowd react to this? Hopefully with a thumping of Barrow and a galvanising atmosphere to kick things off!

sorry to hear this news your club has had some tough times, however can someone explain to me why when hull fielded an ineligable player they got a fine and were allowed to continue in the competition, and you guys get kicked out.

They wont fine Fax, they know quite well that most clubs are surviving on peanuts in the championship and any potential (hefty fine) could send the club under. A severe ticking off is what you will get, and no franchise sadly.

To ease the pain we'll take Royston Vasey, Scruffy Gleeson and Ben 'Pint' Black of your hands.

I think the gate at the next home game will show a significant reduction, even some hardcore fans are starting to say "... if the club are willing to treat the fans like this, with no formal statement... I may just give it a miss for a while..."

I agre MM, can't believe we did this, time and time again Fax shoot themselves in the foot after showing a glimpse of getting it right. I just feel deflated today, another wasted opportunity, theres some pounds been lost by the cup antics this season thats for sure.

Still annoyed, still want to know what went on within our club, but the matter has now been "dealt with" in regards to the game, so now lets move on & support the team. Afterall, maybe except for Ostick, it wasnt any of the players faults, they are who we support!

I think, in a nutshell, when Hull played Thackray, the RFL discovered they didnt have rules in place that specified what the punishment would be for the offence. (Par for the course for that joke of an organisation really)...but anyway Thackray hadnt played for another club in that years Challenge Cup, Hull just didnt file his registration properly...

since that incident, the RFL have put rules in place that ensure that clubs who offended are punished....

Just what we deserved, I just hope now our own review is not a wash out and we can finally start to tackle any rotten apples in our club, and remove any apathy that we owe anyone a living down there. Its about time cages were rattled and people were asked to move on, we have been an embarrassment for years now, my patience will not last much longer, there are other things we can all do on Sundays, but choose not to, Stop taking the P Fax, sort it out now!
MC and MH wont get it right for us, we need to face that now! before this shoddy affair staggers to the next crisis. Take a couple of the team with you too if they dont like it. Enough is dam well enough!

I'll be there to support the players, they have no blame in this whatsoever. Whether or not I'll dip in my pocket for the club so easily again is another matter.
