I'm going for Ben Black on the basis that he hasn't dumped on us when we needed him by doing a runner to another club especially when that other club was in the division below us at the time.

Clinch is one of the best players I have personally seen in a Halifax shirt, but this is largely based on his 98 form. He would be my choice for scrum-half of the 90s, but Black is a shoe-in for scrum-half of the 00's.

was going to go for clinch but have had a think about it and despite never having had chance to play for us in super dooper league a have gone for blacky

Whilst Clinch was a quality player, I think this has to go to Blacky

Clinch was more of an organiser, but Blacky is just such an exciting player to watch - more of a maverick in my opinion, and Clinchy didn't have Ben's eye for the gap or off the cuff play

Hope he gets to play Sooper league with us in 2012!!!!

I'm pretty sure that last minute match winning try Black scored against Batley will sway everyone. Touch of the Black magic.

Blackys try against Batley at Mount Un - pleasant the other year answers all questions. No other player could have scored that try that day! Sheer quality and speed from a standing start!

It was a really effective defensive tool, but if were being honest, he only always attempted the rip because he couldnt tackle! but its absolute 50 50 for me
