I agree 100%, and whilst he didnt have the best half season last year this was because he didnt play his best position. If we do keep him and play him at hooker then we will see the best of him, after all if he went to Salford you would guess that they would play him at hooker, when he played.

Amen to that. the acquisition of Branighan will free Penky up to show the rest of this league just what an outstanding performer he really is

in my opinion, he was average this year, gleeson is by far and away a better no9 and knows how to take his pack forward.........penky more of an individual but his passing is shocking at times....and gives away his fair share of penalties......i dont know why fax dont take a leaf out of the aussies book and leave the hooker on for all the game..........it doesnt seem to harm cameron smiths game !!

Yet rotating doesn't hurt cunnigham and roby at saints, every teams different. Cameron Smiths that good bringing anybody else on would weaken them massively, however gleeson and penky or cunnigham and roby interchanging probably doesn't weaken us or saints that much.

I'm extremely confident our squad will remain intact for next season. The atmos at the club is great, and despite the inevitable whingers who plague every club, the fans are behind the players and they all seem to be happy here, nobody wants to leave.

And let's face it .... Salford?? Why the 'ell would Penky want to move to that dump? They may be in SL, but will win naff all. I'd be very surprised if Penky goes there, I really would.

He would earn more playing for us and working a job.Not all SL players are on more than 20k a year.

Salford are a club going backwards. They talk about this that and the other but have nothing positive to show. When will the Stadium be built? They have a Coach who is poor in Mcrae and should not be in SL now let alone next time. Widnes offer far more. Why go to Salford and suffer being second to Alker and getting beaten if not hammered each week and play in a boring side? Fax least win most of the time and play an exciting brand of Rugby and has a positive feel about the place. The Ground is improving all the time. We may not get in to SL but SL is not the be all and end all of things.
