[i"Don't know if I'm on my own planet but I seem to be the only person who believes that Barrow will shrink to nothing this year. The franchise system is all about ticking a box now. Barrow went 54!t or bust this year to tick the box and it paid off. I expect them to back off now as I believe their budget was for 1 season as was most teams. I think that each and every team in NL1 has picked the year that they are going to go for it based on what they think the competition will be. I actually think we went for it this year and whilst we scraped through, I don't think it's what we were expecting. I think that Leigh felt they would be better going for the "tick" next year or the year after and that's backfired. We'll compete for the next two years but don't be surprised if over three years we compete with every team in NL1 for the top spot whilst they all pick their time to spend. Just a thought......"[/i
Haha, your arrogance is only exceded by your ignorance.
Keep up with the news if you wish to post on a rivals strategy. Barrow have retained all players they wished too from the 2009 squad apart from Ellis. They have still to discuss with Broadbent over whether he will retire as he stated last season would be his last. So tell me, where does this leave your "belief" regarding what Barrow budgets are? With talks ongoing for possible additions to the squad, I am reasonably confident we will be just as competitive next season.
Can you please explain why in your monumental arrogance you believe that Fax have the budget to compete every year whereas Barrow, Widnes, Fev etc do not. To be honest if you had that kind of money, I would have expected you to spend some of it and actually win something.
