It is a little weird though as Halifax dont have any youth setup going? they may have one for next year but getting a group of players ready in such a short space of time is stupid to say the least.

To be honest, no-one at the RFL gives a flying loop about "yoof" set ups. In an ideal world, yes it would be lovely but in terms of granting licences, they're going to give about 45 seconds of brain time to youth set ups.

Here's what they'll devote their time to next time round:

What attendances do they get?
Have they won owt in the last three years?
Can they afford Super League?
Are they slap bang in the middle of a cluster of RL clubs?
What's their stadium like?

That's it. The rest is irrelevant. It shouldn't be. But it is.

i heard that widnes are considered first replacement club for SL if a club disapppears...

We DON'T want SL next season, our fan base has only just toouched 2,000 and we've won nowt yet to stir the interest of the missing yocals. FFS I don't think I could stomach a seaon of mediocrity of competing with the likes of huddersfield and salford for 10th place. Ironically there even isn't relegation to stir excitement and interest!

I agree that we are not ready and have a plan in place to be ready in 2 years time so if it is true and they is going to be a vacant place in Super League then let Widnes have it to stop them crying and to get them out of our way making this a Vickingman and co free bored.
