Silly ko time though have to say.

I don't mind it, gives people chance to do what they want in the morning/early afternoon the set of about 3ish and have plenty of time to get there. Plus it gives Barrow fans pretty much allday to do what they want and then go to the game and still be out early enough to go out after.

I think the K.O time for home games is aimed at getting bigger gates and as stated above allows people to kind of make a night of it and then go out on the beer in town.

Would have gone on a Sunday and made a day out of it via the Swan at Ulverston but like many others will be playing/watching/involved with local RL. Stupid kick off time for away fans.

Any recomended Curry Houses or Chinese Eateries in the area?

No but there's a decent Italian on one of the side streets off the main 'pub' road.

And I can recommend Morrisons for a decent, and reasonably priced, fry up in the morning!

Also 'The Strip' as it is known, is home to all the night clubs, pub clubs etc. This looks positively derelict by day, but bonkers by night!! The transformation is incredible!

I am sure the locals can give you the appropriate names / places to avoid etc.

Oppsite the ground their is a kfc macdonalds and pizza hut , dont park there, if you want a real meal their a plent of pups along abby road, strabry, then if you turn right towards the town hall. Their is panda garden,
On the main shopping street their is a indian called the naaz, and plenty of shops to keep the misses happy
