Still getting my breath back. If Mcnally can learn to create trys he could go on to be a top SL player at the moment though he is probably the best poacher in the game. Sounds silly but again he did nothing and still scored 3 trys. He got the Haven MOM but Leroy Joe was probably about their best player.
Looks like we picked up a couple of knocks and really missed Matt James in the 2nd half after he ripped them apart in the 1st half. I think we came out wondering how many we would score in the 2nd half which was a bit poor really. Probably our best 20 minutes of the season in the 1st and worst 40 in the 2nd. Still our defence wasnt too bad though.
What can we say about Ronnie. For me he let Haven play the game at a pace that suited them, which was a snails pace. He showed how weak he was when Black scored the first try and Calvert stuck him in the concrete wall and didnt even give us another 2 points in front of the sticks after talking to him.
Anyway a good win and we showed glimpses of what we are capable of. That should be our toughest 2 trips of the season out of the way and still unbeaten. So its all good.

Referee saw nowt wrong with the tackle, let play go on, you only got the ball back because we knocked on.
Without McNally Whitehaven will struggle, And he needs to keep his dummy in, he was having a right paddy at times, Good player though to be fair to him,

| i would have taken 79minutes of defence, handling errors, pathetic refereeing in our favour and a flukey drop goal in the last minute (1-0 win)
for us up there today
performance doesnt matter if you win at w*hitehaven

| Halifax were awesome first half. The speed at the play the ball was killing Whitehaven. However some genrous reffing allowed Haven too much time to slow us down in the tackle.
Second half we didn't start well with that short kick off and i feel that we played badly but most of the scores came from halifax stupidity. The kick off, the drop out and the penalty off our own play the ball.
McNally is a great support player, but he's no half back. Maybe it's just the people around him but there was little creative play from Whitehaven, most of the pressure on our line was caused by Haley dropping two easy catchable balls and penalties from being too eager to make the tackle.
I would take black over mcnally any day. He can create chances from nothing, not just running through on support tries. Saying that, the lad played well when he wasn't whining like a little girl.
As for the high shots, you can't complain when you were giving them too. It was a physical game and the shot on Larder in the second half was the worst of the lot.
It was good to say i've finally seen us win in Whitehaven.

| Mcnally reminds me a lot of Danny mcguire, doesn't do a lot for long periods but as soon as a breaks made he pops up in support and normally scores! With full time training and putting some weight on he could be very special.

| Been back about an hour and still my heart is pumping!! - Great first half, although lots of Havenites afterwards were moaning we scored every try off a forward pass or knock on. Heard lots of sore losers today!! - 2nd half we were shocking and only completed 1 set of six in their half the whole half!! Lots of desperate tackles, lots of holes in defence and poor composure with ball in hand in 2nd half. Silly, stupid mistakes still being made which only punishes ourselves - Such as first and only time we attacked their line in the 2nd half we force a drop out then from said drop out we allow the ball to bounce and Abessi picks up and is allowed to run practically length of field. From this bad error McNally then scores in corner!! - Very jittery 2nd half but at least we won!!! I'm a bit on the fence re Worrincy if I'm honest, he has looked a liability at times, dropping the ball and some really silly passing plus defensively looks pretty suspect.
Smithy injured his neck doing weights in training session yesterday which is why he didn't play today.
Rollercoaster today but well worth the trip to see us do the Haven on their hallowed turf!!

We should have thrown him against the wall like Calvert did to Black after he scored eh?

Was that when he fell over like he had been shot! Then when the ref had penalized us he got straight up. If someone had have given him a high shot their hand would've got caught in his mouth, As it was always open whining at the ref like a little girl!
How can Whitehaven produce beasts like Edmonson and then moaning gits like McNally!
