Says you on a boring wind-up trip.

When you can make a valid point as to why it's 'the correct decision' then you can come back and play.

So far we're had "people turn up intent on drinking" as a H & S reason thus meaning all spectator sport will cease to exist as of tomorrow if that was a risk factor.

What and pay £10+ for the privilege? icon_rolleyes.gif

Again it's not as if this sort of thing has never been done before so why are council acting like it's some idea off mars that is to risky? This sort of thing happens at least twice a year!

Annoying as seem's Fax & Siddal worked really hard to persuade the council to put the 'double header' together so a cracking day of Rugby League can be had rather than likely two big scores on amateur sides in front of spurse crowds and the council has screwed them right over by making some RIDICULUOS KO times... 11:30 AM!!! This isn't under 12's you know.

Clearly being narrow-minded and want two full rent payments and two full steward payments!

How hard would it be to shut the bars for an hour ? That way those , intent on getting hammered , would decide what meant most to them , watching or drinking

This is the problem with council jobsworths , they are really good at finding potential problems , but totally useless at solving them

This here bloke making this decision isn't just jobsworth, he's physically incapable of doing his job. Everything needs a risk assessment when applying for something to be done/built but intelligent people and Health & Safety advisors etc who are on top of their game will meet with various organisations and authorities and map out how to do these things properly so either nothing happens or you know exactly what to do should it happen.

This person, as you say, is either not good at solving them, can’t do his job or is lazy and doesn’t want to do a proper job then pick up a wage packet he's not earned with 1,000s of people you’re supposed to be representing and ‘helping’ dislike you. Classless. Clueless.

I have heard that the Councils main H&S issue was car parking. . two lots of fans trying to use the Shay Car Park. . shame they didnt ask Halifax RLFC about this as I understand they were booking the HBOS car park on Hunger Hill for Siddal and Widnes fans to use and the Shay Car Park for the second game.

I think its just the Stadium Management trying to be bloody minded yet again

In todays Courier Byrnes says it will take 4 hours to get the pitch ready for the second game

How come Cardiff, Widnes, Warrington, Headingley Edinburgh etc etc dont need 4 hours preparation between two games of rugby?

When we played a game on the same day as Halifax Town, how long was there between the games then? when the pitch had to be re-marked, posts changed ect, Was only about 4 hours at the Very most, probably less, so to do essentially what they do at half time of a regular match should not take 4 hours,

4 hours? It would take me about half an hour to flatten the divots created by the Widnes plodders.

Didn't the council say Fax with new stand could get 10,000 fans in SL? Where are they going to park?

As stated above, the HBOS multi storey car park is always available to open if needed and with plenty of on street parking freely available on Sundays, there is no problem with parking.
Just certain council members making a decision to create a problem that didn't exist in the first place.

That's exactly what I mean! You can't say can hold 10k and then knock back this for reasons like parking, what 3k max for this one?
