This was the Swinton squad for when we beat you last season
Quite an achievement finding that!

First of all congratulations to Swinton on their win today. Played some expansive rugby in that first half and managed to defend really well on their own line on several occasions.
As for Fax this was a must win game before the cut off after 23 games and we blew it. Tried hard but just lack that pace in the backs and creativity at times to build on the great work the forwards do at times.Losing Johno early on didn't help either.
With Tolouse/ Fev away and Hull KR at home in the next 4 games we could really have done with the two points today.
Whilst there is always a chance in sport for things to go your way I personally don't think we have got the where with all to win all these consecutive games.
MInd you I did predict a Fax win today !!!!!
Pretty gutted at the moment -we desperately needed that middle 8's money.

Where exactly have we mixed it with the best ?.

Lost twice to tolouse.
Lost to London
Lost to Fev
Lost to HKR
Lost to Batley

That's is showing that we absolutely cannot mix it with the best and we still have Bradford, Toulouse, Fev and HKR.

We may beat Bradford but then will whimper out the season with 3 defeats and 5th spot.
Championship sheild which will again mean dwindling crowds.

Richard Marshall has done nothing and the time we got into the top 4 was with Rhinos signings.

No news from the club but rumours of us being in the and directors quiting. If there is a restructure next year then we as a club are done.

No real surprise and the best team won and bearing in mind they only played Wednesday night it was a top draw effort from the Lions.

Since the team that played so well a couple of seasons ago has been dismantled I can't make sense of what has happened to Fax so rather than say negatives I'll say nowt.

Yes we have lost to the teams above us but we mixed with hull away toulouse at home we should of won mixed it with fav best London and beat batley we still have a chance look at Fev with 4 games to go last year they had us and batley to play the believed and did it we need to do the same

Unfortunately that is like asking us to believe in Santa Claus. Same story today as for much of the season and last season, defence pretty good apart from the first 15 minutes but attack poor. Its our lack of points that has caused us problems and under Marshall our attack has not improved one little bit, we still look clueless near the opposition line. 50 yards out we look decent but get close to the line and we look like we have never played together. Once again when playing Swinton they looked much better with the ball and you can only imagine if they had not run out of steam during the 2nd half the score would likely have been more.

At least Toulouse lost, who also lost at Swinton themselves a couple of weeks ago. Problems are off the pitch IMO. As Keith Lard said several years back .... "Nobody Dare Criticise", well the same can be said now. A bunch of well meaning guys trying their best to keep Fax going, but well out of their depth. We need strong and stable leadership. Ms May. where are you!!?

Haven't watched much of Fax for a while but to me it's the structure and pattern of the attack that probably suits Fax current halves but is easily defended. Dewsbury appear to have come alive with Moore going there. I do quite like seeing Swinton's attacking lines. Matt Calland comes to mind!

Gareth Moore was a livewire and have no idea why he was let go. He was the only HB at the club with the attacking flair and creativity. We are so predictable. We have a lad come in from Salford who doesn't know our plays. Just looks to me like we are cutting our playing budget.

Same old story with Moore wherever he goes. Half a season fantastic and then starts to pick and choose. Lets not forget he went missing for the second half of last season and his performance against Batley this season was one of the most embarrassing I have seen from a professional sportsman. On his day he is one of the best at this level and Dewsbury will reap the rewards of that but lets judge him next season.

Gareth Moore good half back....conor Robinson good half back ...... both got mom for there respective new clubs..... maybe there coaches understand the game a little better than marshall does, him being an average prop and not allowing half backs to express there abilities

The Salford lad put a towering spiralling kick across the field on Sunday... which no-one in blue'n'white was expecting and as a result we didn't have a player with a prayer of being able to challenge for it. DR can work (to a degree), but as others have said, we should be bringing our reserve players through now rather than using fringe Salford lads. If we'd done the business on Sunday, I guess we could have said "ok", but I felt that the influx had a negative effect. Hindsight is easy of course.
