I agree, I expected a lot more from Fev the way your fans had talked you up. A good team would have blown us off the park the amount of ball we gifted in the first half.

Exactly, we had you lined up for a 60 point shellacking after 20 mins. Then put the cue on the rack and let you back in. Very poor.

Thought all the forwards were outstanding and Ed Barber at hooker was my MOM, however the backs came up short for me, all were guilty of big mistakes and stupid penalty`s.

Positives from today
Grady - offers a real in yer face aggressive style in attack and defence, well done, a couple of errors, but all in all, a great shift put in.
Tangata - I still think were lucky to have him, and lucky he loves Fax. Our best player in my humble opinion, and could mix it at any level.
Team spirit - to get us back in the game, in the lead, it looked like it meant something again, good to see.

Negatives from today
The referee - I thought was poor, inconsistent. Dealt with Mitch harshly, it wasn't as bad as it looked. Let Hardman off lightly, allowed Fev to send in too many extra men when the tackle was made, a few times with forearms, I'm not sure what some of the penalties against us were for, he didn't let the game flow, and his touch judges were piddle weak.
The guy in charge of the floodlights - where was he? Stuck in the loo or watching Super Sunday? Lights should have come on much earlier.
Looks like we took a few knocks - and general bad luck.

General observation
Every year I keep hoping that big athletic mobile unit we got on loan from Leeds Rhinos will come back and play for us, had bags of potential and looked unlucky to be just at Leeds at the wrong time. Quiet game Luke, Mitch off loads, Adam smashes the line and backs up, Grady is all over people, we don't need a trundler, we need the old Luke back. You've got time left, you can still improve, less subway, more leg strengthening, and it'll come back. I mean this in a positive way, he obviously loves Fax.

No wonder tangata ran in as he did. Shocking elbow on Grady.

Also can't believe more hasn't been made on the knock on leading up to Fevs last (and deciding) Try. Seen it from 2 angles and baffled how he allowed play on.

You win some, you lose some. Fev kept their composure and we have a moment of luck in the bag for later in the season, as these things tends to even themselves out

It all happened in slow motion. Grady grabbed the Fev player by the shirt and scragged him to the ground. The Fev player took offence to this and started landing shots on Grady. Everyone on the field just seemed to watch what was going on until Adam decided enough was enough. I hope the disciplinary treat him generously (he effectively went into the Fev player with a strong tackle hit rather than any arms or fists) as he was one of the stand-outs for us today.

Childs didn't have his best day reffing today, although some of the Fax faithful were maybe a bit blind to some of the (correct) decisions he made.

I really enjoyed today's game, I predicted a cracker and from a neutral view wasn't disappointed,it was played at a fast hard pace and again as I predicted Fev won , though not with the ease I thought they would.
It was a case of 2 very evenly matched teams,and I thought Childs had a decent game,I know the Worrier took a bit of stick from the Fax fans but I feel he will still prove e decent signing.
The Fax forwards were better than Fev's, but Fev's back were better and faster,Tangata was lucky not to have a yellow card ,and Calahane was puffing after 10 minutes I just don't rate the guy, the Aussie looks OK, And Ambler had a good game , Ben Kaye tried everything as did Grix. Away from the game it was good to see many of my friends from Both sets of Fans,I can honestly say I will be making a few trips this season to watch BOTH Fax andFev.

As to where the teams will finish?Fev for me will be 3rd in the League ,with Fax finishing 7th, just my opinion of course,good to Fevgrinder go away happy , though he was very worried at times.I was looking forward to seeing Halifaxjohn, but missed him, John message me.All in all a 9/10 good game.Charlie knew.
