Interesting Paul Rowley coming out and stating that it wasnt health issues the reason why he left Leigh and saying he is a man of integrity and there were things going on that he did not want to be involved in.

I also hear one of their big name signings got in a little bit of trouble doing something he shouldnt have been which might be connected to this and that situation is still ongoing.

When Leigh play Fax at the Shay in March you will see for yourself what the Leigh fans think of Derek by the attendance,stop being bitter.Derek and Marwan are very good friends ,I have met Marwan a few times and believe me they may have similar views in Rugby but you can't compare them,anyway look at the good players you will see when Leigh visit,and don't be bitter.You have Grix, Tyrer,Moore, and Bracek.

Greg , Paul has now left, The King is Dead, Long Live the King,we willmove on with Neil Jukes,whatever Pauls reasons were he made the decision to leave,I respect that,as for our big name signings getting into trouble,all players get boisterous at times,I don't know what you have heard but whatever it was ,Leigh Centurions will survive and March on.You will see this in March.Should be interesting how many Leythers March into Batley tomorrow, you can say the attendance at Mount Pleasant will be bigger than at the Shay.Charlie knows that.Enjoy your game tomorrow.

On the subject of Degsy, we have a club with a group of individuals coming together to help us progress, Leigh have Degsy and his money to help them. Who's to say which is best but for me, and it seems a number of other Fax fans we are happy with the way our club is going. The worry if having one person bankroll you is that if he gets bored or runs out of cash you're scuppered.

Anyway, hopefully the game will still be on tomorrow and we can at last enjoy some meaningful rugby.

This thread is about Lee Smith and the pros and cons of his signing isn't it?Whatever Paul Rowley felt he had to do give himself peace of mind is Pauls business not ours.I believe in a live and let live society,as for Lee Smith, I think Leigh and Mr Beaumont have done very well in filling the spot for Lee to take over from Greg McNally , maybe if we at Fax had a bit of Mr Beaumonts bottle we would have spent a bit of cash and added a bit more quality to our Squad.

After a bruising week or so for Big D what better way to make yourself feel good again and hit the shops for a bit of retail therapy. Smith is a decent signing at this level make no mistake but you can't buy team spirit.

I'm very happy with the way Fax are evolving, we're way ahead of schedule and putting the foundations back in. Entering into an arms race with other teams would be foolish and isn't necessary considering the quality of players we have down at the Shay.

Hopefully the game will be on as I'm really looking forward to seeing the lads in action again.

Why do most posts degenerate into Leigh do this, that and the other, Deggsy has this and can do that. Leigh are lucky to have a sponsor with money to spare,
Fax have a group of people who are rebuilding our great club starting with solid foundations. The time for talking is done, all clubs have planned and now the war begins, it is lots of battles not one off games that will determine the winners. Trust in the coaching staff to have done their groundwork.
Let's see where each club is come September then bragging rights can begin.
